I don't think it was but I do understand people that think it was.

Some casual fan watching it with me at my place felt it was some WWE stuff.

Thats when I feel ashamed from loving that sport...

Floyd turned up and was Floyd, just like he said he would! Happens over and over again and people who are lovers or haters of him should just accept that its gonna keep happening! Big, small, old, young, prime, shot, power punchers, movers, fast hands, fast feet.......they all lose!

Ortiz looked like he could have gotten up. Maybe he thought that he doesn't deserve to get beaten down like this. It's not the first time he had those thoughts.

The only thing that makes me wonder is Joe Cortez. He is either out to lunch and needs to be fired (and taken out of the hall of fame) or something strange was going on. Pretty sure its the former though.

Too many coincidence & the fight wasn't even a total shut out like with JMM especially on 4th round were Ortiz is connecting then suddenly an obvious headbutt with the multiple apologies plus Cortez's look away time in which a simple signal of hand would be sufficient enough while managing the two fighters. It's freaking stop & start timer... What's so hard? it's not like his signaling a tower crane operator. Cortez should just do his job the timer will do his job too his got eyes on the fighters unlike the in charge referee.

I think Ortiz was in awe of Floyd, that's the trouble. He was soooo concerned about having fouled him, like "please Floyd, please don't be mad and kick my ass over this headbutt thing". He was practically begging for forgiveness...it didnt' work. And I think he was too afraid or in awe to protest in the ring. I think he was happy it was over, quite frankly. And I think part of him felt guilty for starting the whole mess with the butt.

Fixed? Not at all. Besides all the hoopla between both fighters Mayweather definitely took Ortiz to school. He got son'd up.

Maybe Ortiz was happy with the outcome because...

    1) He became a millionaire
    2) He has the option of a rematch
    3) His name is out there...big time
    4) He will get another title shot...and SOON.
    5) He has several options now.

    Etc.

I guess that's the reason why Ortiz keeps smiling when PBF puts his hand on his throat... It's going to be a hell of a show, "stage show"...

Floyd has been in two fixed fights since he's came back.

Shane hit him hard then eased up and Victor took this dive as well.

All part of the plan. It's all about the money and he has taken it all once again.

    Floyd a G

Cortez was perfection, in applying boxing rules.

A lot of fans just don't know them.

I have never seen a referee take his eyes off the fighters without separating the fighters first for as long as Joe Cortez did in the fight. He is a very experienced referee and that's very odd to say the least.
