What sucks also is, after rewatching it, I actually start to pity ortiz. Not saying it as if I think mayweather was wrong, because I dont personally believe that he was. But I simply pity Ortiz. He used his head, and that was just plain dirty.... there is no excuse for that whatsoever. But also, part of me sees just how remorseful he was when he 'snapped out of it' so to speak..... and I have been there and know what its like to do something out of anger (he was probably beyond angry and frustrated with not being able to do what he wanted to do in there) and then instantly regretting it when you realise what you did in the heat of the moment. And you could just see the dissapointment and shame that Ortiz felt once he snapped out of it..... I dont know, maybe Im looking too much into it, and at the end of the day, its not that important, its a fight and Mayweather finished it. But its just I do start to feel for Ortiz.... I really wish he would have controlled himself better in there :-(
:yep That's exactly the way I see it. I think this was just a lack of experience, maturity and I think he sort of had a Tyson moment. When he realized what he did, he over compensated and looked very sorry for it. As you say, I think it was just a heat of the moment type thing, and he quickly realized ah ****...I shouldn't have done that.
