I just dont see how Floyd beats Pacquiao based on this performance

Listen Pac does have a chance buty I dont see how you can say that Floyd has no chance when hes never lost and is one of the best defesive boxers ever!!! You sound like a hater

Pacquiao eats counterpunches like I eat chicken, so thats already one way Floyd can win. Mayweather will be the fastest boxer Pacquiao has ever faced, another reason. theres more and more but I anit got the time

 

Floyd's straight right was on the money from the get go and his reflexes and handspeed haven't tailed off much, if at all. His left hook was way off in timing and he wasn't willing to pull the trigger on the inside, being comfortable to just block and evade.

Pac doesn't have the power to KO a solid welter. He can wear Floyd down with work rate, but no fighter has been able to do that because he limits their output. Pac is an entirely different animal than anyone Floyd has ever faced though.

I'd been of the mind that Floyd wins a comfotable 8-4,9-3 like decision against Manny, but you never know.

 

But is susceptible to being counterpunched

How can people forget that Pac's counterpunches are a thing of beauty too?
How can you all easily forget how he totally silenced Cotto's jab?

 

Fraud doesn't need this performance to show he can whoop Pacroid a$$, he will do it with easy, w/o steroids, if I was Fraud I'll just tell him to go ahead and use the roids so he can hang with him for awhile longer.

 

You cant counterpunch a master counterpuncher.End of story.Pacs counters aint even on marquez level.

First of all Floyd has always been more stationary against southpaws, this is nothing new. Floyd likes to plant his feet and block/ pick off punches rather then move. Being a stationary target is not a good idea against Pacquiao. The guys who gave Manny trouble the most used lateral movement. They stayed away from his power hand and kept him off balance. Floyd's whole motto against lefties is to pressure and get off first , which works well but against Pacquiao he's gonna run into punches. You just can't stand right in in front of pac and expect to beat him to the punch all night , you have to move to the side or you'll get bulldozed.

 

ummm I never see Mayweather staionary against anybody! and he wasnt on saturday...

 

He is stationary when he plants his feet to defend himself, and he walks back and forth in straight lines. Go back to the Corley, Mitchell, and Judah fights and it's the same thing. This is just a habit Floyd has. He likes to stand in front of fighters and block / pick off their punches and counter. He doesn't keep his lead foot on the outside which is the rule against southpaws. I actually see him moving the opposite way most of the time. Manny eats up fighters who don't give any lateral movement . You just can't stand in front of Pacquiao all night and not expect to get in trouble, I don't care how good of a boxer you are. It's just a fact of reality , and Pacquiao is no b-level fighter like Victor Ortiz.


That';s not to say Mayewather wont have success. He'll land some right hands and he'll do well in the middle of the ring when he's outside, but as long as he's standing there in front of pacquiao he's gonna get caught, especially once Pacquiao turns up the heat.

Tough fight for both. Mayweather's the favourite IMO because he's the better boxer and a bit bigger I think. Mayweather does look more beatable now. Pacquiao didn't look great by his standads in his last fight. I think Pacquiao would be more focused & intense if he was fighting Floyd. Floyd would be at his most focused if he was fighting Pac. Stylistically the fight favours Floyd but I wouldn't count out Pacquiao at his best.
