The guy has never boxed a day in his life. That is why its hard for a boxer to take criticism from him during an interview. Because he really doesn't know what its like preparing for a fight and being in one.
Define "outspoken". Someone that speaks up against poverty, inequality and racism of all sorts? Or someone who is just a ridiculous douchebag. It's like the conservatives and Sarah Palin, the more "outspoken" she is, i.e., the dumber and more obnoxious she is, and the more people point it out, the more they love her.
sick of this Larry is racist crap,he loved Sweet Pea,Sugar Ray,Molsey, loads of black fighters, the second a white person doesnt like or argues with a black person straight away the race card gets pulled out, maybe Larry doesnt like Floyd because..wait for it....,Floyd is a dickhead,in saying that i think Larry wanted a reaction,Floyd made himself look bad though,he should have kept cool..
Merchant actually liked Floyd when he first started out, at least he sounded like he did. I don't know what changed, but it seemed like when Floyd kept getting richer and more sure of himself, the hate started flowing...
And honestly, this whole thing about Floyd being a douchebag? When, at the end of ANY of his fights (excluding this one), has he been anything but thankful to the opponent, the fans, his team and God? I think a lot of people make stuff up to suit their bias. Unless Larry Merchant was hanging out with Floyd outside of the ring, his ONLY interactions with him are when they interview. Merchant is forming his opinion from outside cause while they interact, normally, Floyd acts like a professional.
:huh Why would it hurt me??? First of all I don't hate people I don't know and I especially don't hate rich people. :hey:hey:hey I mean the Pretty One could drown his sorrows by burning some more hundreds or owning Ortiz's NAKED ass in his dungeon, who gives a **** what he does. The person that was hurt after he showed us his BRILLIANT LEGAL suckerpunches was Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his ***** ass couldn't handle answering questions from a helpless 80 year old white man.... I think everybody knows who got there feelings hurt that night... :rofl:rofl:rofl
+1 Respect and Floyd does not go together! Shouting to an 80 yr old man!?!atsch Maybe floyd Sr was an absentee father so to this date floyd does not show any sign of respect and manners when he can't handle answers in an interview. BTW, the ko was a result of a cheap shot. A 108lbs boxer can probably ko a 147lbs boxer if he is unprotected.:!:
What ass chewing??? Floyd blew a gasket because Merchant wont give him a fair shake??? That just shows how much Larry's opinion means to him.
Yeah, you did. Obviously. You don't hate Floyd because you don't know him? I'm gonna have to call bull**** on that one buddy. You go out of your way to bash him constantly in this forum. But you say no hate. Well then I guess I'll just chalk you up as another one of these........ This content is protected
A relevant post of mine from another thread: Merchant approached Mayweather very aggressively and was obviously very judgmental about Floyd's final punches. Instead, he told Ortiz that he didn't have to be apologetic for head-butting his opponent atsch, and also he didn't comment on Ortiz' claim that it wasn't intentional, when even a 5-year old could see he jumped in the air and tried to bust Mayweather's mouth with his head. Merchant is often hilarious and always speaks his mind, but his approach on the two fighters right after the bout was the definition of double standards.
