    Defense mechanism as previously posted.

Ortiz wants to pretend that all is well and "cool bro" rather than show his inner feelings of embarrassment and a sense of shock

Yea, plus now he still fall back on "I was hit by a cheapshot" instead of "I got broken down systematically and KO'ed late in the fight" which would be worse for him mentally and probably effect his marketability even more.

Ortiz took a lot of money but I still think that he was mis-managed. The kid is young and hasn't still developed into a man. They rushed him with the Maidana fight. A kid with a suspect chin and still fragile mind against a guy with 98% KO ratio.... The fight with Floyd also was so soon that he had no chance at all. They should have build him up like Canelo and I think that Golden boy saw their errors and corrected them. Ortiz has a lot more pure talent than Canelo for me but Canelo will have a better career when it's all said and done.
