I'm sorry. I know there is already countless threads on this subject, but I just got back to the states, and wanna add my two cents...

...I honestly don't see how anyone can defend what FMJ did Saturday night. Protect yourself at all times? Please. Boxers disregard that rule all the time, because at certain moments, they trust that the other guy isn't going to do anything underhanded. What Floyd did was dirty as ****, and even he knows that.

If he was so pissed about the headbutt(s), he should have did what he did against Mosley. Mosley was trying to touch gloves, and Mayweather pushed his glove away, like, "**** that, let's fight," then punched Mosely square in the mouth. In this fight, FMJ basically hugged Victor back, then two-pieced him.

It's an unwritten rule. You just don't do **** like that. I think I once heard Lalia Ali say that in women's boxing, there isn't an official rule against punching your opponent in her breasts, but it's an unwritten rule that all the women follow. It's also like running up the score, walking across the mound, walking when one hits a home run...these aren't official rules, but **** you just don't do.

Mayweather should have pushed Ortiz away as he tried to hug, like, "nah, **** you, man,", but he didn't. The way he did it was just sneaky. Grimy. That was some grimy ****. Sneak attack hits.

Ortiz and Cortez also deserve some blame, maybe 25% for the both of them, and the rest of the blame goes on Floyd. I mean, damn. Remember how FMJ kept his cool during all the chaos that ensued after Judah hit him low? Why couldn't he do that this time?

On another note, Mayweather got popped a few times in the 4th. Had that been Manny throwing/ landing those shots...:think

It is unwritten, I presume. Even if it is written, I doubt FMJ can read.:lol:

I completely agree and I'm not even a ******* like the first two guys that replied to this thread, I'm a Floyd Mayweather fan.

    Well I used to be.

I'm actually rooting for Pacquiao now if he ever fights Floyd

Written rules are more important than unwritten rules. When you start purposely, and contniuosly, breaking written rules, unwritten rules go out the window. You mentioned running up the score. In the 80's, The Cowboys played the Eagles, and kept taking cheap shots on Cunningham. The next time they played, The Eagles got a big lead, and Buddy Ryan instructed his Eagles to run up the score.

when your in a fight and someone pulls the **** ortiz did, all bets are off as far as i'm concerned. i do not even like floyd but victor made his bed. he attempted to use his head as a weapon and didnt care who saw it. i can't say i wouldnt have let my anger get the better of me.

i agree with you in that i wish mayweather would have just made his point by laying a beating on him...a beating that he was clearly capable of doing...but he didnt. no he's not innocent here and what he did was cheap but if youre going to make the conscious decision to launch yourself at your opponent in an attempt to use your head as a weapon than youve just bought yourself a dirty fight. if your not prepared to take cheap shots then don't dish them out.

Still doesn't justify anything. Two wrongs don't make a right. Real power is when you can do something that you, your opponent, and everyone watching knows you can do, but you take the high road by not doing it. That's real power.

Just like how these ******ed *****s repeating "take the test" **** when PAC clearly agreed to everything, their only response to this thread will be "Protect yourself at all times". Watch. :-(
