Most casuals I know loved the fight and drama... I've never understood this hate for the casuals (I guess it's the same why many boxers get hate on here too), without them boxing would be dead and matches fought in empty arenas.

It's funny how Bunce knows so much, yet Primetime won't even back up his words, it probably did half of what Bunce says, we all know he chats **** at times.

Sad thing about this is, we will have to deal with him sucking Primetimes balls forever now and justify every card being PPV, all because they give him a pay packet.

Yet this guy represents the casual boxing fans so im told:rofl:rofl:rofl

    Boxing fans are gullible mugs.

    Whit?!

Seriously Rob quit making things up.

If it wasn't for the fact that he fought Hatton a portion of the general public would have no idea who he is.

Federer, Woods and the German cheat are more well known in the UK by the general sports fan than Mayweather is.

Primetme don't release figures, it's up to GBP to release the figures if they wish. It should be noted we won't know the final figure for 60 days as it takes time for the buys through the box office menu to come in.

At this stage it appears the event did very similar numbers to a Khan fight, take that for what you will

You don't release figures because they're poor simple as that. It's why you have Khans camp making up numbers and your own staff*Bunce), spouting a number you admit you don't even know yourself yet.

If it had done 200,000 PPV buys, im sure you happily release that figure.

Nope, we don't and never have quoted a figure before it was made available by the rights holder. This is because of confidentiality clauses in our contracts. Any figures need to be released by the rights holders if they are to be released.

And with regards to making up numbers, we know how many are in and have early estimates on numbers from other sources to give an accurate estimate of the total. The Star Power card was a huge success, I can say no more

Maybe it was a success, but long term you won't last. It's ok getting a few mugs to pay for greatest fighter on planet twice a year, but when you charging for other **** fighters you will see how **** the format is.

Only so many times someone will pay a premium before they say thats it, too much money.

Your format does not work, it might do well short term but long term damage to the sport and people who have paid and been disappointed is hugely damaging.

Casual fans know who Floyd Mayweather is, 40k sounds crap to me regardless of the time!

    Well done Venus.
You take a lot of grief on here, but it's clearly paying dividends.
Those figures for that time of the morning are very strong. I suppose only time will tell how you will do for UK 'primetime' hours. I suspect if Khan does fight Mayweather the difference in viewing figures between Primetime and Sky wouldn't be that vast.

I agree with 'Barlow' in that ppv can't become a weekly option. That isn't sustainable for fans. It probably only works for 'occassion fights'. I'd love to see Primetime find a way to fill te void between fights with regular programming like Setanta used to do with the boxing hour.

    But Saturday was good.
liked the interactive element. I thought Khan was a relevent to virtually every fight. Duke is a really strong pundit. He's very understated, but what he says is better and more accurate and interesting than other pundits who are more forceful in their delivery style.
I thought Benny Ricardo was impressive too. He clearly knows the subject, and understanding spanihsh and being able to translate the corners was a bonus that I doubt many of our UK commentators could offer.

Very good show all round. You can sign me up now for Pacquiao v Marquez?
