Naz, to me, fits in the same category as Tyson Both guys ahd the potential to be the greatest Both guys ****ed up and then lost to guys they could have beat
Shame he retired so young. He was only 26 when he fought Barrera. Probably hadnt even made his prime yet. Despite what people say,he had a very impressive record.
why do people have to hypothesise on who he could or couldn't have beat, when someone simply states he was fantastic. his KO record is breathtaking, his showmanship was second to none. true great of the sport regardless of his barrera loss.
It's his fans that are the ones that hypothesize whom he could or couldn't have beaten. What HAPPENED was the best fighter he ever fought embarrassed him.And no,he wasn't "fantastic".He may have been flamboyant but he never beat a great fighter.Never.
His record was pretty good at best.Whose the best fighter he beat:Kevin Kelley maybe, who had been ko'd 2 1/2 years before by whom and had drawn twice after said ko and before Hamed by whom?Typical of Hamed's resume. He beat alot of decent but nothing special alphabet beltholders and was embarrassed by the best fighter he fought. It's that simple.
Matthew Potter seems to be delusional if he thinks that people won't look at the total facts and not what he wants people to believe.Steve Robinson was 21-9 when he fought Hamed. So what he was ranked in the top 10 by someone. It just goes to show what people will write down when they want to make their heroes better than they actually are and how weak the division was when Hamed fought Steve.Tom Johnson was THIRTY-THREE when he fought Hamed,THIRTY ****ING THREE,just for the record.I already wrote about Kevin Kelly just a couple of threads ago.I just love it when Hamed fans use him as one of his best victories after Kevin's getting stopped and drawn with on 2 separate occasions by nobodies within 2 1/2 years of the Hamed fight. And Soto and Vasquez had what,SEVEN LOSSES EACH when they fought Hamed? And just how old was Vasquez? And Hamed DID duck Marquez for at least 1 1/2 years,as JMM was his #1 contender during that time. What Potter fails to include in his Hamed ballsack tribute is that the Norwood fight was a wrestling match instigated by the dirty Norwood and that the referee was ****.Yet,the decision was still controversial. And when Hamed finally challenged JMM to a fight,he expected JMM to fight him in a month of issuing the challenge.Marquez is still mad at Hamed as he admitted a couple of years ago in a Ring Magazine interview. And typical of Potter to make excuses for Hamed as his supporters always do.But in reality, just which Hamed victim was remotely as good as MAB?THOSE are the truths about Hamed.I think I'm going to start a thread about all of the excuses Hamed's supporters have made for Hamed losing JUST ONE ****ING FIGHT,albeit against easily the greatest opponent he ever faced.
Never liked Hamed. Watchin him in that video bein completely outclassed by Barrera is priceless. Great vid, no doubt. :good Waitin to see similar vid after Pac - Void. Pac would literally destroy Void and KTFO him. That would be great for baxin :yep
