I dont think anybody apart from allegedly knows what going on with regards to this. All the fighters certainly havent got a clue. Its all speculation at the moment lets wait and see. Whatever it is its obviously big...

Disagree entirely! If I go to a boxing event, I want to see a good main event, with two/three good undercard fights. There's nothing I hate more than a Klit-Haye type card, with a main event and nothing else. I'm much rather a Magnificent 7 card. All day, every day! Profile building is a huge part of boxing to develop the stars of the future.

The only thing I agree with is not paying Olympians huge wages off of a gold medal.

I agree that that's what you want to see if you're a fan. I'd happily sit through 7-8 fights, but when you're talking terrestrial TV and casuals it just doesn't work. Hennesey's disaster with ITV 4 proved that.

If you want terrestrial boxing back then IMHO it's going to have to be 1 top quality fight that takes a maximum of 1 and a quarter hours of the saturday night schedule. You're average armchair boxing fan has no interest in watching the likes of Phill Fury, or even Frankie Gavin at this stage fight for a minor title.

    It wont be terrestrial tv.

Boxnation over sky is stupid. Doesnt that mean Frank will have to cover the production costs so no doubt it will look worse.

Matchroom can well and truly take over!!

Unless he wants to do what primetime are doing with channel 5 , using them to advertise a ppv later on

Pretty terrible news to be honest. Boxnation was obviously set up for a reason and it wasn't to show random old fights. I know everyone will blame Frank and maybe it isn't his fault for giving his fighters contracts he can't afford but are Sky giving each show enough of a budget?

I don't know the figures but I would imagine that if Sky gave boxing even 1% of the amount they pay for PL football then Sky would be able to afford and make available on normal Sky all the domestic fights us fans want to see.

**** boxing if all of Franks shows go to a subscription/PPV channel

Can't believe you type in his name on here and you get stars posted instead!

Anyways, Boxnation will not be wide viewed. If Froch struggled on Primetime, and he's probably more famous than about 80% of ******s stable, then you do the math.

It's coming to a point where boxing on PPV is ridiculous. If I've got the choice of doing you know what or ordering shitass PPV's every other week, I'm taking the former option. Primetime have been nothing but a sack of ****. Just trying to build a money empire for mediocre fights or fights Sky don't even charge for.
