Oh, It'll certainly be mentioned as being among the KO's of the year once December rolls around, simply due to the circumstances involved. That being said, even if there were no controversy surrounding the result, I still think there have been more definitive, aesthetically pleasing kayos produced this year.
I have 3 nominations. Shockingly low considering the forum is flooded with support for Floyd's KO of Ortiz. Ortiz got KTFO! But why so few nominations especially from the ones who saw nothing wrong with what transpired. Why? Floyd fans? Why so few nominations for KO Of The Year? It was lights out Ortiz! Why?

Don't worry, it probably won't win. The mystery is why haven't the Floyd supporters who saw nothing wrong with the KO come here to nominate Floyd's KO over Ortiz for KO Of The Year. Ortiz was counted out on the canvas for the first time in his career after 2 devastating punches from Floyd. I have my reasons for not nominating it KO Of The Year despite the sheer brutality of the KO. But for those who saw nothing wrong with what happened, I'm mystified to why they have not nominated. I only have 3 nominations after this thread has been viewed over 3,000 times.
