If Dana White had a Floyd Mayweather in UFC he would suck him dry and bend over backwards to facilitate him.
Read what Dana actually says and don't take the thread title to be the truth. In the article Dana never says he would fire Mayweather and blames the referee for what happened.
Did you mean the headbutts or the punching immediately after touching gloves? Sorry I just read you said probably both :good
It was bad refereeing and poor judgement by Victor Ortiz. It is hard for me to imagine, even with the worst MMA refs, a foul situation like that happening. Nearly all fouls that deduct a point either A) don't stop the flow of the fight IE grabbing the fence or shorts or B) end with a stop in the action on the ground with the referee moving both fighters back into position with a clear time in or C) have both fighters moved to neutral corners while the ref talks to one or has a doctor see the cut with a clear "Fight" command given as both fighters are in or near opposite corners. Mayweather is always looking for punches on breaks when he fights. It's not a foul to punch a guy when he wants to hug you and you are in a boxing match. The said, if Dana had someone that routinely sold as many PPVs as Mayweather and won without cheating or breaking the rules he would definitely keep him. He'd probably just say that who fights him should be smart enough to never leave themselves open to him.
Can you send me the link? Its the refs fault no doubt. Poor control of the situation. Until he says box, the ref should allows be in between them. Its his fault for stepping back.
I don't know, because i'm not a pro boxer so my opinion is useless. why don't we just shut down all boxing forums? Because obviously theres no point having somewhere to show your opinions when you've made it clear that they aren't of any use?
