How come fighters never try to get in Floyd's head?

It's actually very easy to get into Floyd's head. He's very emotional and can get mad at the drop of a pin. I would love to troll him. It would be easy.

The important question is whether it'll help you win the fight. On current evidence, I'd say no.

He loses his **** in every interview. If you say anything other than he's the greatest he goes crazy. I agree that someone should try to get in his head. It worked for Larry Merchant. If Ortiz was going to use the blatant head butt route, he should have said, "F-you, there's more where that came from." Floyd was about to go crazy and instead of pouring fuel on the fire, Ortiz kisses and hugs him calming him down. I have lost all respect for Ortiz, especially the way he was smiling and giving everyone a thumbs up after the fight.

You know, that could have helped Ortiz just a little bit. It wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome, but it certainly could have prevented him from being embarrassed as badly as he was. Bullies don't like to be bullied back. This was clear in the Floyd’s fight against Judah - where he remained silent and business-like when he was up against what some would call a ‘street ni66a’. It was a complete contrast to the in-your-face attitude he showed against Mosley.

So yeah, to have any real shot, you’d need to be a focused bad boy. Someone like B-Hop. A thug and a professional at the same time.

if he faces khan, im sure khan will wind floyd up something rotten :)

he should say 'your ***** cant stand you and she winces when you go to kiss her, i saw your father and uncle on the latest series of bum fights and you pick on 80 yr old guys cos you are nothing more than a ****. then head butt him.

that should make for an interesting press conference face off :)

Hire Larry Merchant as your promoter or better yet part of your entourage. haha.

Here is what i would do.

PBF acts like a thug so they can be embarrassed easily.

Pull out the gay card. Dude is always hanging out with guys and some of the Ellerbe pics/vids of them together are magic. Show them on 24/7. Im sure this will disrupt the gym work.

Push him around in the press conference. Make him feel your strength. I mean a hard push so he can possibly get KD. Imagine how pissed he would be if this was caught on camera. If I was Ortiz during the choke i would have cracked him one in the ribs or belly to knock the wind out of him.

Start picking his family apart. We all know of the troubles. Make fun of his kids, dad, roger.

Bring up how people have walked out on his fights because he is so boring.

And Finally hand out shirts with pics of him crying like he has in various press conferences any time you get to be face to face with him. Also shirts with him and Ellerbe would be great.

Sounds like a job for Mayorga. Too bad he's B- level in his prime and shot to **** right now.

this would all require an absolute lack of class. one would have to be a lowlife shithead. only hopkins or mayorga would go this low

Thing is, Khan has a habit of inadvertently saying things to rub up anyone – even his own fans. He also can’t help but feel the need to automatically hit back when someone talks **** on him – something Floyd will inevitably do. So yeah, chances are Khan will **** him off (or Floyd **** Khan off) and spark a war of words. It’ll probably more entertaining than the fight itself. Entertainment based only on stupidity and childish antics, that is.

Hey, Floyd gets away with stupid stuff like that and his fans love it so fight fire with fire, only do it better. I don't think he can react good to someone who does it better than him. Hopkins is the perfect prototype. Too bad he fights four weight classes higher.

    Yep.

Mayweather actually called out Prince Naseem back in the day. (Just after he beat Corrales, I think.) Naseem would have utterly destroyed and embarrassed Mayweather in the press conferences and promotional events. Unfortunately, Mayweather would have boxed circles around him in the ring and schooled him...but the pre-fight banter would definitely be worth it.

Thats the thing PBF is low when it comes to mind games. You have to go lower than that. I think PBF could definitely lose it. He has some issues mentally and when that type of guys gets psyched out its over.
