Guys, get ready for Mayweather/Ortiz II. I hate to say it, but I think it will happen. Right after the fight I turned to a buddy of mine and said "Floyd will fight this dude again because he knows he can beat him and will make another huge payday in the process. They will sell it to the public by bringing up the controversial ending and how Ortiz was "coming on" at the end before the headbutt. They will waste their time and ours with this **** again. Don't be surprised if it happens on Cinco de Mayo of next year since Golden Boy loves to stage big fights involving one or more Mexican or Mexican American fighters on Mexican holidays as they did with many of Oscar's fights.

I've been following Mayweather since the '96 Olympics and although I am a big fan of him as a boxer and told everyone within earshot back in '97 that he was a future all time great, as a person I can't stand his personality. He reminds me of so many insecure, narcissistic, classless dudes I hated in High School. His whole identity is his undefeated record and he will do anything to protect it. He knows that Pacquiao is the biggest threat to losing his 0, and he will think of as many clever ways as he can to avoid the fight.

I used to defend him like crazy because I have been following him so long and was such a fan, but I woke up. It's clear as day that Pacquiao doesn't care who he fights and will fight anyone they put in front of him. Mayweather on the other hand will only fight guys that he is confident he can beat with little or no problem. He is a boxing genius and knows that stylistically Pacquiao would give him hell. Personally, I think he beats Manny in a very competitive fight. The fact that Floyd's father has planted doubt in his mind isn't helping either. I have inside information that Floyd Sr. has strongly suggested that Jr. avoid Pacquiao at all costs because he "must be on something" because he is a "machine". Sr. and Jr. may not get along, but Jr. respects Senior's knowledge a lot and let's not forget that Floyd Sr. taught his son how to box from when he was a toddler. It's similar to Roy Jones situation with his dad.

Pac has agreed to all the blood testing, and really that was a smoke screen because they knew Manny had issues with giving blood (different than getting a tatoo) close to a fight and were looking for a clever way to avoid the fight and make it look like Pacquiao was being difficult and hiding something.

Now that Manny has agreed to that, Floyd is bringing up **** like "Manny needs to get his finances in order and stop giving so much of his purses to his promoter and manager before we fight". Now he is concerned about Pacquiao's finances? He didn't seem to care about 39 year old Mosley's finances or divorce settlement when they fought? Why is that an issue? It isn't stopping Manny from fighting Marquez? Floyd has his own legal issues that are actually an issue because he can't fight if he is rotting in prison. I bet if they negotiate again, it won't happen because it will be the purse split that will be the issue this time. Floyd will demand the lion's share of the pot knowing that Pac's people will never agree to that.

I can't believe it isn't clear to everyone that Floyd is holding up the fight because he doesn't want it. Do you really think Robinson, Leonard, Ali, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, De La Hoya, etc. would have ducked their biggest rival(s) and demanded they undergo random blood testing, get their finances in order, and asked for 100 million to face them? Be objective. It took me a LONG time to wake up because, again I am a big fan of the boxer Mayweather. It's not easy to be objective when you have been following a guy for that long. I can't believe it's been over 15 years since the Olympics. I remember watching him beat the Cuban dude and them saying how it had been 20 years since that happened.

No Mayweather/Pac fight, look for Mayweather/Ortiz II. He will probably announce it right before Pacquiao fights again. That seems to be the way Floyd operates. I think Khan would be the only other guy he would face if for some reason he doesn't rematch Ortiz. Bradley is a remote possiblity, but I believe Bradley will be fighting Pacquiao next year.

C'mon dude!! Leonard ducked Hagler? Leonard fought Hagler 13 pounds above his natural weight with a detached retina and a 3 year layoff. He also fought Duran thrice, Hearns twice, Benitez, etc. Floyd would have ducked all of those guys. Pacquiao is smaller than Mayweather and Floyd is still ducking him. This would be like Sergio Martinez ducking Floyd.

Pointless rematch that will only serve the purpose to give May another reason to avoid Pac.

Its because he played hagler in 82 when he announced his retirement then waited for hagler to slow down before jumping into the fight, same with not giving hearns a rematch untill he lost to barkley and looked bad vs kinchen.

At least he fought Hearns! Mayweather would never have even fought him, you know what I mean? He ducked Paul Williams, he's going to fight Hearns? You think Mayweather would have fought Duran? He wouldn't fight Margarito or Cotto for Christ sake.

Look, the bottomline is you can follow whatever bull**** excuse BOTH fighters come up with on why the fight can or won't happen and treat it like gospel. But the only thing that matters is putting ink to paper. Neither fighter is innocent. This is the first time where has said that he would take the complete random test. So regardless of what Floyd says now, you know that negotiations will start up again after the Marquez fight is over. Then and only then can we make a judgement on who doesn't want the fight and anybody who says otherwise is just your average biased fanboy.

If a rematch vs Ortiz happens... in fact if ANY fight happens with Floyd & the opponent is not Pac then the fans will be the fools for buying the ****... yet again.

Same goes for Pac, anyone other than Floyd after the Marquez fight is a disgrace... time to man up or **** off out of the sport & stop treating the fans like pricks... both of you.

    The end !

Not true at all. I enjoy watching both fighters. I know for most people it's like USC and UCLA, you have to love one and hate the other. I'm a boxing fan and I love watching both fighters fight, but personality wise I can't stand Floyd and I woke up about a year ago and have to call it the way I see it. One isn't a "pacturd" or "*******" just because they don't have irrational, blind loyalty towards Floyd.

Ray leonard was a man who fought the best till he retired at age 25 after that when coming back he was very smart in his choices, I have always given ray credit for beating benitez, hearns and duran 2.
Its just the hagler fight that doesnt sit right with me, beating lalonde was good but he lost vs hearns 2, allthough I think if it was a 15 rounder it would end similair to the first fight.
Floyd was a man untill castillo gave him a close fight, after that he became very calculating with the exception of the Oscar fight.
I dont think highly of floyd because of his resume, but he is damn good in the ring.
I consider ray leonard 1 or 2 from 1980 till now.

Thats half of the story. Leonard had also only fought once in 5 years prior to fighting Hagler and had what was considered a career ending eye injury prior to that as well.

He did play Hagler, no doubt, but he wasn't in his prime either.
