How come fighters never try to get in Floyd's head?

Because obviously, there is nothing going on in Floyds head.

Fighters have tried and Floyd responds, it may be best not to get him mad

Judah hit him the balls and rabbit punched Floyd came out stronger

Mosley rocked him and Floyd responded

Mosley gave him that push Floyd responded with shots

Ortiz head butts him and he ends the fight

So it may back fire maybe its easier to face the calm not going for the kill Floyd Idk

But what if say Ortiz head butted him and then kept his hands up and when Floyd went for revenge they traded

Then round 5 Ortiz goes low and then Floyd over took with anger gets out of his element

look at Floyds home life he gets angry he whips ass maybe Ortiz coulda ot him so mad he did something illegal or he gets out of his game and trades with Ortiz

it could just work cause then again nothing else has

With the exception of a past prime Mosley, none of those fighters were mentally strong to begin with nor were they psych masters. As a matter of fact, none of those fighters are really bright away from the ring to begin with. I'm talking a specialist at getting into his head but tough enough to pull it off like a Hopkins, Duran, or Hagler type. Someone who ain't in awe of Floyd.

because when you don't accept his mind games and fight back e.g. not taking random blood tests just because floyd wants them, then the fight doesn't happen. and we know floyds last few fights have been people who were just in it for the $$$:

    jmm
    mosley
    ortiz

    please...

    I LUV DIS THREAD

I would love to see a fighter do this. It would be one of the greatest buildups for a fight that we've ever seen in the last 10 years.

The opponent could come in and say anything he wants to say and I would give him a standing ovation for it. This type of passion is exactly what the fight game has been missing. Boxers showing up to whoop some ass and nothing else.

    **** sportsmanship.

**** trying to be politically correct.

    **** hugging and kissing.

    **** trying to be friends.

**** that "I'm not going to stoop to his level because I'm a gentlemen" bull****.

Tell Floyd "I'm gonna get in the ring, punch a hole in your ****in' head, and then skull **** you!" And then to actually mean it. :happy:happy:happy:happy

Fighters these days are too damn nice to each other. Only time two fighters should embrace is after the final bell. Floyd and Bernard seem to be the only two fighters left with that old school mentality of kill or be killed.

Floyd is a pretty mentally strong person, when it comes to being in that ring. The thing is is that FMJ himself has put most of his life out front so people know alot about the history with his father, his fights in clubs, his fights with security, allegedly hitting women, etc. That stuff is already out there. So, if an opponent were to attack him with that, he would probably be prepared for it and wouldn't shake him, he would be fueled to give a bigger beating with it.

The times you see Money emotional is when defending his skills, accomplishments, his record i.e. Look what happened with Merchant. The only way you would be able to get to him is if you find something that only he knows about and nobody else knows, not even Ellerbe, Floyd Sr., Roger or his mother. The stuff he used on Ortiz worked because he is extremely weak in the head, you can see the expressions on his face that it works.

I remember the Hearns fight, once the bell rang he charged and threw a punch. And throughout the fight, he was throwing punches very close to low blows, and he let his elbows fly all over the place. That night, he had absolutely no regard for human life, and looking at Hearns' eyes I actually thought he was getting intimidated. Not many fighters could pull that off against Hearns in his prime. And I don't know of anyone 147 and below who could do that to Floyd except maybe Pac, although he doesn't have Hagler's mean streak so it's unlikely even he can do that.

You can get into his head outside the ring. But once your inside he probably has a different mindset. He doesn't even talk **** when he is fighting.

Who would want to get into Floyd's head when Floyd already went inside their head? I'm talking about the head down under. :deal

    I don't think Floyd cares.

Oscar, Mosley, and even Ortiz tried the "mature individual" approach and failed. Floyd is a very shameless person.

It's guys who try so hard to be well behaved such as Oscar, emmanuel, Mosley, etc that can easily be embarrassed. You only act that way because you have something to cover up.
