Why 147 lbs Frankie? Is this where the new coaching team and your nutritionist want you to fight at from now on?

It has Gavin vs Purdy on the website does it not. I really like Gavin, but I sort of hope he is knocked out in this 1 so it'll make him move back down in weight

needs to sharpen up with the fitness wise imo.......not having a go frankie, just think if you can do a bit more outside of the fight training you will be a lot sharper at 147 and will be at the weight for a good while imo.

Personally I think it's the wrong move. But you no your body better than anyone else. Hope it works out for you kiddo as you have got an amazing talent. I hope in 20 years time we dont start a thread saying 'Frankie Gavin, what if?'

Hes not that short for welterweight and the way your body looks doesnt affect your peformance in the ring its whatever weight you feel strongest at people say i should be a flyweight but im doing well at feather.

The top welters of recent times are all around Frankie's height (according to Boxrec).

    Pacquiao - 5'6.5
    Mayweather - 5'8
    Ortiz - 5'9
    Mosley - 5'8.5
    Berto - 5'8.5
    Clottey - 5'8
    Cotto - 5'7
    Margarito - 5'11

    They list Frankie at 5'10.

I know Frankie boxes 'small', but maybe it is that he needs to work on his definition and muscle and become stronger in that sense?
