    That was in November 2006.

He has more inside information than any other boxing writer on the planet. There are some guys who get the early scoops from one or two promoters (e.g. Michael Marley), but fat Dan keeps his relations up with everyone.

That said, ticket sales in Nevada are a matter of public record. Whether Mayweather's team bought the tickets, who knows. I wouldn't be surprised.

    :huh

Floyd doesn't fight as much as Pac. That's obvious.

Or, the more logical explanation: the ticket prices for floyd vs ortiz were higher?

Boxers buying seats at fights has gone on since ppvs have started. There is a reason why its done, but explaining that would get me nowhere with ****en trolls.

True... which also helps in his PPV #'s or "AVERAGE".... Floyd is simply making his presence more of an "EXCLUSIVE" event by only allowing himself to fight once every 15 or 16 months. It's a double edge sword b/c although it helps his PPV #'s when he does fight he misses out on additional revenue by fighting more consistently like PAC... and PAC has shown his numbers will remain consistent and strong even without playing the Floyd card and becoming more of an "EXCLUSIVE" type of event.

Pacquiao was never the draw until after he fought Dlh. Barerra, Morales, and even Marquez brought the bigger fan base to the seats.

that's not very nice. but at least it's temp check for those promoters who only knows how to sell a fight with controversy. you dont hype a fight by showing a son shouting names at his father.

    probly true.

I checked out 2 ticket broker sites (there's probly other sites as well) 2 days before the fight, they still have a lot of seats available from $192 to $22,000.

One site was selling 30% off.
