I like Joe and he's a good guy by looks and he got his point across well. The only thing that i notice with him is from this vid and the BN this week where he always says 'you could see me saying calm down/hit body!'. I dunno just seems to be a common theme in his interviews.

Edit: That last bit is rather sad, Joe's really emotional there and he's ****ing spot on. By sounds his missus is feeling strain of him not always being there. Joe's putting his life into his work and he ain't only trainer. To many fighters forget the work these guys put into them. If your gonna leave do it the right way!

I have been telling everyone for years that Murray is a class A twat, no surprise at all to me that hes blaming everyone for his horsing at the hands of Mitchell but himself. Arrogant little git!

An interesting bit in the interview is when Joe mentions how he's kept the press away from John's antics. I'm guessing he has a bit of a reputation for pissing around between fights?

He was hounded away by certain posters, some of who are posting in the thread praising him :nut

Yes, in fact there was a thread before the fight about the incident mentioned in the interview. I though it was bull**** at the time, but in hindsight...

Just watched the whole interview, joe was ****ing bang-on. He put everything into murray. He chose him over everyone. He will become a great trainer and this will give him the experience no matter how hard it is to take that family must come first...always

Couldnt agree more. beer, cocaine, tizer, taking any of these in the lead up to a big fight has never done our boxers any favours:-(

Interesting to hear. You have to feel for Gallagher if this is true (and there's no reason to disbelieve it but you can guarantee Murray's version of events will be different)

I felt for a while Murray fell in love with his stoppage record and started to believe he could maraud forwards with reckless abandon.
