I think he would have done very well. The 2nd coming of Manny Pac. His hand speed and raw power were incredible. Plus I trust alot in Doug Fisher ant the ring who raved about this guy in training and sparring. Would have been beat by world class boxers due to only training himself, however if he got soeone good in his corner, he would have been an ATG
I was surprised myself. If you watch his fights you would never believe he actually had boxing ability.
In the British Boxing section we had a discussion on this and people posted video's of Valero sparring i'd never seen before. He was in with some good, solid fighter's and actually outboxing them at points. Just when he got into the ring properly, he never used that Boxing ability
He could box when he needed to. He had much more depth to his game than people knew. He never really had to show us his deeper skillset since he so thoroughly intimited and bullyied fighters around that he never really had to. But, against guys who actually gave it a go against him such as Demarco and Mosqeura, you can see some sequences in which he counters these guys like a master technician. I believe the guy may have lost like 4 rounds max in his entire career which is pretty sick . And he once almost knocked antullon out in sparring. He used to own both Antillon and Santa Cruz in the same day at the gym routinely.
