ATG: Who Ranks Higher, Floyd Mayweather Jr or Erik Morales?

Floyd is a better boxer , but if they both retire now, morales ranks higher

 

So let me get this straight for those who voted Morales. If Floyd is top 40, Morales is higher? Morales isn't even in the top 5 best fighters of his own generation. How can he crack the top 40?

 

And therein lies your assumption. I'm not necessarily disagreeing, but why would you think everyone ranks Floyd top 40 if they rank Morales higher?

 

I think anyone objective would have to rank Floyd in the top 50 and maybe more accurately, closer to 40 or so.

 

Why? Name one "ATG" type fighter that has been accused of ducking more fighters than Maryweather. The majority of his fights past 135 have been cherry-picked(another word that will follow Floyd for the rest of his life).

How true..Floyd may not be even in the top 100 if he loss to pacquiao

 

Where do you rank him on your ATG list? Even if he doesn't fight Pacman, his skill level and resume should get him into the top 50 on almost anyone's list.

 

That doesn't matter when your talking about atg rankings. Floyd is held to a high standard because he claims he is the GOAT. Achievements wise, Floyd is def top 50 all time. That shouldn't even be a debate.

 

Mayweather no doubt,

Put it this way...you will never see Mayweather fight a 21 year olf fill in for a paper title on an undercard. All time greats just dont do that.
