Ela "Bam Bam" Nunez's cornerman is speaking (actually yelling) instructions in English and drowning out the commentators, who sound like they're watching golf.

The crowd is so sparse and/or lulled into a hypnotic state that the American trainer is ALL you can hear.

He's basically repeating himself and going hoarse trying to get Nunez to follow simple directions. All she's doing is circling outside and jumping off the ropes to throw wide flurries, and occasionally listening to his orders to crouch in and throw an up-jab. Menzer is just walking her down with only slight menace, jabbing.

Very little contact going on. I'd call it a tactical affair but it really isn't. It's more just that neither of them is willing to take risks and engage more than any "strategy" being employed.

 

Menzer hurt Nunez with a hook with about a minute left. Then they both missed about fifty seconds worth of wild punches each trying to close the show, and with five seconds left Nunez lands a big left hook of her own that hurts Menzer and then does an Ali shuffle.

 

Did Laila ever do her dad's shuffle to taunt an opponent during her career? :think

 

They are both celebrating like they had the FOTY. :roll: Yeah, you finally caught the fighting bug in the last half of the last round and were both sloppy as hell.
