Boytsov looks much slower on his feet as in his previous fights.
    Ringrust maybe?

    Round 4

Greer keeps using his own head as a bowling ball, and keeps rolling strikes if you count Boytsov's counter uppercuts as the pins. Hard 1-2 by Boytsov as Greer tucks up and stumbles back to the ropes. Wild overhand right by Greer, similar to the one he landed in the 3rd but Boytsov has it scouted now and ducks it while throwing a high overhead counter right. Boytsov is staying in close and just hooking the body, hacking mostly with his wrist and forearm at Greer's flab. Greer lands a grazing shot and gets adulation from his corner. The referee calls time to inspect Greer's cut-up face. Physician says whatever. Time in. Boytsov backs Greer up with jabs and very brief combos, very conservative with his energy. Wild overhand by Greer misses again.

    40-36 Boytsov

Never seen a fighter exhausted after the first 30 seconds of a fight.:-(

    Maybe. :?

I'm wondering if he just doesn't want to gas/punch himself out due to 93% of Greer's wins being knockouts?

The guy may be a fat piece of ****, but that one right hand in the third did get Denis' attention and make him hold if only for a second.

I think Greer would make a good comeback opponent for Adamek

Adamek could get his first 1 rd KO at HW.:good

Boytsov is going the Vitali Klitschko route. A slow and painful stoppage victory.

    Round 5

Boytsov is just hooking at the body exclusively now. Greer is smashing away with both left and right overhands now. Boytsov is forced to tuck his chin and duck and weave inside to land his hooks to the body, with Greer's gloves rubbing his back. Greer DOWN from a body shot. He stays on a knee until 8 and springs up. Flush left hook by Greer as Boytsov just stands in front of him. Greer's nose is spouting blood. Hard right hand over the top by Boytsov. Greer is using an old-timer stance, turned sideways with his arms crossed over each other and shoulder jutting out. It isn't helping him. Boytsov's slow and steady one-and-done attack keeps rocking him every few seconds.

    10-8 Boytsov

    50-44 Boytsov

this was a better round and Boytsov clearly didn't step on the gas... he let him go at many occasions

Boystov is one of those fighters that has potential but will just take sub standard opponents to much

    Adamek has no HW power.

Boytsov has it, he just doesn't use it. (at least in combination, or when he has someone in trouble) Very frustrating.

    Round 6

Boytsov keeps pecking with hooks and circling Greer like a not especially hungry shark. Greer takes his lumps for a minute and a half more before it is waved off.

Weird stoppage. Greer wasn't any more hurt than he'd been in previous rounds, and Boytsov wasn't really throwing or landing any more punches. It WAS clearly a beating with no foreseeable change in momentum, though.

I can't tell...... did they just stop it?

Greer coulda absorbed those punches for 3 more rounds. Boystov UD Greer

BS stoppage even if Greer was just a punching bag. He was exhausted NOT hurt.:-(
