Interesting video a youtuber uploaded couple of days back. It kinda makes sense lol esp 2:12 and wht follows after it. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD6qAg842_o&feature=channel_video_title[/ame] What do you think people? Is this video accurate/bias/favours ortiz/did the sucker punch KO overshadow ortiz's actual performance/is rematch needed?
Thats proves it. Mannys knocking him out if he stops asking for dumb testing that no one but *****s think is reasonable. ***** isn't that good.
More ******* vids that take bits a pieces of the fight to mold around their version of the truth? Good lord....
Look at this thread and you will see y I made this one below: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=343577
The video is too biased. That being said, I was pointing out how Floyd seemed to miss quite a few of his shots right after the fight, so I'm glad to see other people picking up on that. I didn't look at his compubox connect rate, because I don't really care for that unreliable system -- I just depended on the actual footage of the match and my own judgement. To be fair, I think it was mainly down to two things -- Ortiz being a southpaw and the fact that Floyd was more aggressive and throwing more shots than usual. The southpaw stance can often throw fighters off, when their normal shots don't work as well due to the body positioning...we saw Floyd having trouble landing on Judah in the early rounds too, until Judah slowed down and Floyd adjusted to his style. Even though Ortiz made Floyd miss now and then, the video neglects to mention that he was getting pasted with quite a few stiff right hands too. I do think that Floyd didn't look quite as sharp as he usually does, though. It's funny, because Shane hurt Floyd far more than Ortiz ever managed, but Floyd looked better in the Shane match. He also looked better against Marquez.
This is a poor video to discredit Mayweather. Ortiz got owned in that round. Mayweather was simply measuring up Ortiz that whole round.
It is what it is. When I saw the fight, I was amazed at how many punches were attributed to Gayweather in the 4th round when most of them did not connect. If you call missing to connect "measuring up", then we should include that in punch stats. 5 connectd out of 47 punches, 16 measuring up out of 47 punches. 21 punches connected and measuring up = ass-whooping.
i believe if i remember correctly the punch stats he threw more in the 4 rounds than he did in the 12 rounds vs mosley so naturally your punch connect ratio will be down
Good analysis. Pretty much agree with this exactly. Floyd's on the way out IMO, a great boxer still obviously, but definitely on the way out.
lmao look.. Any one with a brain that saw the fight knows that this was a ******* edited clip to show just the missed shots.. As if we did not already know. Funny thing is in this same concoction of 2 secs of action floyd landed right after and not one time could ortiz counter successfully and mayweathers defense after missing was still impressive. If it was crapiao vid we would see pac miss hunreds of punches lunging all over the place and even fell down with his own momentum and sloppy footwork. Floyd was never even off balance on any of the missed shots..lol you can edit any fight of any fighter ever (except may/gatti) and it would look the same. Floyd was not fighting his normal fight.
funny how all the haters WANT mayweather to hit with 50%+ only or else that means he was losing the fight... :rofl atsch he threw more punches that round... so in a sense, his connection % would go down a bit... i have no doubt in my mind that if the fight went on longer, floyd's connection % would have gone up due to Ortiz probably slowing down due to the punishment he would have taken.... so judging on 4 rounds only doesn't mean **** unless ortiz was DOMINATING every single round, which he wasn't. :deal :good
