Baez? The guy was terrible!! Sorry but he was!!! California champion I saw him fight live but no movement and against Hearns he could not win with no head movement!!!!

Hang with Hagler? He lost to Hagler!! Like someone else said what about Benitez?? Buchanan is overated by Duran followers who want to build him up to build up Roberto Duran!!!!

He was a good tall fighter who was put in against Tommy to headline the Leonard/Kalule fight. He was not a stiff and Tommy took care of him in 4 rounds.

Cannot have it both ways!! if it cannot be held against him he should not get credit for anything above the weight either!!!!!!!!

Did you answer my question? Thought not.

the fact that a man from 135 fought against arguably the greatest 160 fighter of all time and make the fight competitive is something that has never been seen before.

His loss to Benitez was a bad loss, alot of people will say that Duran was past it but physically he was fine. Benitez was the better fighter that night.

I can tell you have never seen Buchanan fight, except for the Duran fight. A true boxing fan would appreciate his in ring ability. He was excellent to watch, which is why MSG fell in love with his skill. Had a great jab, could box, brawl, and was one of the toughest mother****ers I ever seen, to take a beating from Duran only to come back stronger in the later rounds.

Moreover. It is easy to criticise any fighters resume. Look how easy this is

Sugar Ray Robinson- Overated because he lost to Turpin and LaMotta while in his MW prime. Ducked Charley Burley, which means SRR is a bum.

Hagler- Lost to guys like Bobby Watts and Monroe. Which must mean Hagler is an overrated champion.

Of course that is bull****. But in boxing, its more than just what a record states, its not Black or white, its not ****ing boxrec, boxing is more than that.

doesnt really matter how duran did with Marvin he lost- The fight I will always remember Duran for in the early 80s is Thomas Hearns. Hearns plastered him with right hand after right hand and duran crashed face first to the floor!!!! duran might be involved in the best knockout in boxing history!!!!!!!! the guy who was knocked out!!!! and he was knocked out by the guy who was knocked out by hagler a year later!!!!!!! the only saviour in all this is SRL. The man was great!!!!!

hagler might very well be overated!!!! the only great win he had was with hearns who he decided to put his all in one fight for his legacy and he did great but he was almost knocked out himself trying but he gambled and won! It was a gamble!!!!! great fighter and great win but it was a gamble fight and his natural size won out!!!

 Alright so we have established that you are an idiot and you dont know **** about boxing.

Srl also had lossed at the end of his career
    Hagler lost to a WW
Ali lost to Berbick in his last fight
    Archie Moore lost countless times
Joe Louis lost to Schmeling and was brutally knocked out by Marciano

Losing does not take away a mans legacy. All the names mentioned above are ATG legends that have tasted defeat and faced the dark end of boxing. But nobody will take away their achievements. So dont simplify Durans career. Because that way you are proving that you dont actually have a clue about what boxing is about

Ali was the exception!! And the Sugar Man! Multiple ways to fight and a strong chin unlike Duran who lost to everyone and Hearns who had a great punch and no chin!!! Floyd another great!!! Strong chin and no appreciation!!! i DO NOT TROLL! Look at my avatar.
