Dear members of ESB. To me ducking is when a fighter refuses to fight a fighter with an opponent that has all these qualities.

    1. Fighter has beaten a decent amount of quality opponents and has a good resume.

    2. Fighter is hot at the moment and is on a winning streak.

    3. Has something to offer, Belt, popularity, money.

    4. Fans demand it, I mean majority of fans, Casual fans included they support the sport probably even more then those who call themselves hard core boxing fans.

    5. Challenger must not request for the opponent to make change in weight.

I'm just tired of hearing people say ******ed stuff like, "COtto is ducking Martinez" RU F'in Serious??
Or Mayweather is ducking Paul Williams.

    What are you're guys opinions???

Martinez wants Cotto at 155, not b/c he wants Cotto to leave his current wight class, but b/c a fight at 154 would be a JMW fight, and Martinez would be forced to vacate his own ranking.
Cotto IS ducking Martinez. The fight should be made, but there is much more $$$ for Miguel to make, and I can't blame the man personally.

Floyd is BLATANTLY ducking Pac. Not asking for anything more than his fair cut, and accepting Floyd ludicrous demands. This is the $$$$megafight of the millenia, and there are ZERO excuses for it not having been done already.

Throwing your world heavyweight title in the bin just so you dont have to face Lennox Lewis.

why didnt Pac just call his bluff and take the tests? if someone i was competing against was willing to turn down 50 million over a blood test i'd be god damn suspicious too. fact is Manny turned down the fight not Floyd. ridiculous demands on both sides. manny walked away. to be honest the way arum is lining up fights for Manny it looks like never happening.when is Floyd supposed to fight him after Bradley late 2012?

Answer this, What does Cotto gain from fighting Martinez????? Don't you think that Sergio is trying to pick on Cotto, I mean a Huge Middleweight against a small jr. middleweight. Why doesn't Martinez challenge someone bigger than him????

When you duck Margarito, Williams, Pacqauio, Clottey (before the PacMan debacle), Mosley (before he was shot), Martinez, and Cotto.

Instead you fight Judah (Coming off a loss), Baldomir (I don't care if he had a belt(s), JMM (and then doesn't come in at the contracted weight), Hatton, and then Ortiz.

    Big MW?:huh

This is a huge fight, similar to the megafight between Winky and Trinidad, and IMO, while Cotto won't take this fight just yet, as he's got bigger paydays and easier fights ahead with Margs, and Mora, and maybe even Andy Lee, I do think that in 2 yrs we'll see this fight happen.

Don't call Cotto a small JMW either, he's grown into his 154lb frame just fine, just as Khan will in about 4-5 years, and Floyd, DLH, Mosely and Hatton did. Pac is a different story as he's only about 5'5 1/2 really, but he's a ball of fire, and his speed makes up for his size.
As for Martinez moving up, yeah, it's an option, but do any of us really see Bute, Ward, Froch, and Kessler hanging around the SMW class for too much longer. All 4 see bigger money fights on the horizon vs the Clouds and Dawsons, and BHOPs up north.

When exactly is Manny supposed to take these tests. Before or after the contract is signed.

He agreed to the OSDTs, and up to 72 hours before the fight and of course, immediately after, which proves if a fighter had taken anything leading up to the fight.

It would be suicide for a small guy like Pac, who's already draining himself 6-8 lbs before a fight to give 6 ounces of blood the morning of the fight, and that demand is OUT OF BOUNDS.

Floyd is ducking Pac worse than Bowe ducked Lewis and Lewis and Tyson ducked Corrie Sanders.

Seriously?? You really think this fight is as big as Winky wright vs Trinidad??? Go out in the streets right now and ask people about Sergio Martinez, I bet you you'll get a lot of" Whot the hell is that guy??" responses. If Sergio is serious about challenges he should fight the bigger men then. If Cotto and nearly everybody else has gone up in weight, so should Sergio. He should stop trying to feed off other people's popularity, He should make his own.

Bradley ducking Khan because he realised that he's a stylistic nightmare for him and a loss would take him out of the Pac sweepstakes considering he can't draw for ****.

Pacquiao does not drain himself to make weight that's one of his advantages against his opponents. And 6 oz. of blood is a ridiculous exageration, they don't need that much blood to run an analysis.

Can you really duck someone who is in a different weight class ?(Wanting someone to move up or down to face you)
Pacquiao claims to have been champion at 154 so why not fight Martinez who held the same title if you really are the champ ? Same goes for lots of fighters.
