Oscar gave up the last 3 rounds when he was clearly ahead. Problem is that the judges saw rounds 1,2,4 close.

Round 1-2 were clearly Oscar's. Tito didn't do ANYTHING.

I was a De La Hoya fan, an Oscarsexual if you will, and watching it live I could only fault De La Hoya for the loss. You just don't give away rounds like that and then cry about the decision, especially as some of the early rounds nothing much was happening

You can clearly lose the last 3 last rounds of a fight. You can embarrass your country, your family, look winded, seem weak...

None of this should matter if you win 7 of the first 9 rounds and avoid any 10-8 rounds against you. Numerically, you've won the fight, and it doesn't matter how unpopular the performance makes you. How you perform in the last rounds of a fight doesn't justify a judge rubbing out and re-scoring rounds that you clearly won, or robbing you of them in the first place before any fan insult is committed.

Hand down DLH's fight and no doubt his biggest mistake(running the championship rounds) inside the ring. Not only did this affect his legacy, it also affected the way he fought Mosley, a fight which IMO he could have easily won.

Well said. Oscar boxed an excellent fight and should have won a comfortable decision regardless on what he did the last 3 rounds. Which he even still managed to land the cleaner blows.

Didnt Oscar get a gold medal for running 1000 meters with hurdles in this fight?

Pitter Pat Oscar? At 154lbs Tito would have raped his ass in a real fight.

Above welter, Oscar was only willing to fight Tito at catchweights. Good part of the reason the rematch never happened.

Tito proved he could not handle class A boxers. DLH learned his lesson from the first fight and would have boxed Trinidad solid for 12 rounds DLH over Tito in a 8-4 or 9-3 type fight!
