A clear robbery. Only hater and Tito lovers would say otherwise.

That Dela Hoya would have given Floyd hell.

I'm still in disbelief Oscar lost this one.

You'd think given boxing politics, given he was the more marketable guy, given that he, oh, you know, only won all of the first 9 rounds, you'd think he would have been given the nod here. 117-111 Oscar. 116-112 if you're being really nice to Trinidad.

I'm not sure what's the bigger surprise. Oscar losing here, or Oscar losing to Mosley in the second fight. He clearly won both of those fights.

That's exactly what I said. Had he of boxed Mosley like he did Tito, he would have won a comfortable UD, instead he felt the pressure after throwing away the final rounds vs tito and tried to brawl the faster Mosley.

Sugar Ray did a similar thing against Hagler. It was called boxing skills then.

I thought Oscar beat mosley in the rematch, but that is no where near the robbery that Oscar - Tito was.

I agree with your analysis. One would think that boxing judges would normally find a way to give the decision to the more popular and marketale guy and in this fight, they really need not look for it.

Oscar lost the battle but won the race.

Oh yeah, I agree, DLH-Mosley II was nowhere close to the train robbery DLH-Tito was. I just brought it up because, like Oscar-Tito, it was relatively inexplicable from a business standpoint as well. You'd think they would have given the fight to Oscar because then that would have allowed everyone to make a ton of money with a possible Oscar-Mosley III.

Funny, even though they say Boxing is corrupt/a business, they miss really obvious chances to prove the people who say that right.

I don't recall any boxing writer giving that fight to Tito. Dude was vastly outclassed for 10 rounds winning 2 of them at most. Oscar was already ahead by 100 punches landed and face completely unscathed. While tito was busted up. Watch the fight if you need clarification. Anybody that knows boxing that isn't a delusional hater knows that fight decision was a joke.

Don king was promoting that fight if I recall and was trinidads daddy. Tito was King's pride and joy.
