There was no b-test taken, as Jones himself admitted to have taken a steriod. But he was not punished, cause there were no laws on doping in Indiana, and the IBF didnt want to punish him either, even though Jones had admitted. For some reason, they still wanted a second test.
i actually kinda agree. he was overrated. i dont know if he's the most overrated fighter in the last 20 years though.
Some people do overate him to be fair, he is still one of my favourite boxers mind. Pacquiao overrated? get out of here
Every man and his dog just getting into boxing tries to say how overrated RJJ is so they don’t appear to be a casual fan. Overdone. How is he overrated when there's a thread every couple of days saying he's overrated?
They don't release the test results at all but it was said the B sample was negative, also Hall tested positive, coincidence or contamination? Roy said he took Ripped Fuel, which is a stimulant not a steroid. It could be he took androdiol another Twinlab product at the time, a mild steroid precursor and not technically a steroid
i think he's a underrated as it stands today roy was the most dominate force ever in boxing, from what i've seen he may have not fought as many HOF or ATG's as SRR and whatnot, but majority of his opposition was legit contenders/champions
"Jacob Hall: “Both of them did. Roy Jones tested positive for steroids. He was five or six times over an acceptable level." There was no b-test taken, as Jones himself admitted to have taken a steriod. But he was not punished, cause there were no laws on doping in Indiana, and the IBF didnt want to punish him either, even though Jones had admitted. For some reason, they still wanted a second test. Also, you can find an offcial letter from the IBF on the net, which also states that he tested positive for steriods.
you have the link to him admitting to taking steroids, because i've read up alot on this and have yet to come across such a gem, it would pretty much settle everything
[/quote] Acceptable level of what exactly? Jacob Hall doesn't seem to have a clue what he's talking about, after Jones said he took Ripped Fuel, which isn't a steroid, he said Jones admitted to taking a steroid Ripped Fuel It's a stimulant not a steroid The B Test is taken at the exact same time as the A Test, you don't know what you're talking about. I've seen the said letter - only an A Sample and no mention of what is tested for, there is 'steroids test' - you're tested for various things, not 'steroids'.
Yes , I have the link, but Iam not sure if iam allowed to post it, since it is from another boxing site. I can PM it to you though?

That’s not illegal but it is an anabolic steroid according to the IBF and other other sanctioning bodies." You are right, I forgot tha A- and B-samples are taken at the same time. Apparently some sites says Ripped Fuel is ephedrine, but both steriods and ephedrines are banned substances in sports anyway. I do however trust the IBF, whom with doctor supervision, calls it a steriod. And said Ripped Fuel is illegal(Not to buy or use it) but to use it when participating in IBF supervised fight, which makes it cheating. And Jones admitted to said cheating. No one mentions if both the a and b samples were positive, just that a test was taken yes(which should mean there is both an a-sample and a b-sample) That is correct, At least the a-sample had been analyzed. The b-sample may not have have been analyzed, since Jones himself admitted to have taken a banned substance (Ripped fuel) How much more evidence do one need, than the guy admitting that he cheated?
