How come it's the Black British fighters who like wearing the flags on their trunks

    I've often noticed when black British fighters fight they like having either the Union Jack or the English flags on their trunks.
    David Haye usually has either the St Georges flag or the Union Jack.
    Junior Witter used to have the English and jamaican flag on his trunks
    Grant has an English and Jamaican Trunk
    Audley Harrison used to have the English flag as well
    Rendall Munroe has the English and Jamaican flag on his trunks just to name a few.

    On the other hand white boxers often have their own personalities reflected on their trunks.
    Ricky Hatton had his blue and Joe Calzaghe was his own man.Carl Froch from Poland also wears his Union Jack but generally white fighters wear their own colours not just flags.

    Can someone explain this trend?

    Maybe so people know they're British?

    Maybe they're just more patriotic?

    Ricky Hatton's blue was because of his football team I think.

    I'll take a stab. If a White man flys the British / English flag, it can be considered racist for some stupid reason!

    Perhaps black fighters want to try to reach out to White supports by wearing the flag? Just a guess.

    Hatton wear blue because of man city you're quite right. A particular favourite clip of mine was when Mayweather wore the Man Utd shirt to **** him off. TV gold that!
