Sergio: "I still want Pacquaio at 150 if Cotto or Margarito won't face me"

    From the news of the fight:

    "I would like to face the winner between Margarito and Cotto, even though I know that Cotto wouldn't face me even if his life depended on it," states Martinez. "Cotto wouldn't even accept to play a soccer match against me. It's sad but it's the truth. Cotto could make some good money against me, but he knows that things will get complicated for him."

    If Margarito happens to win that bout, Martinez would be interested in avenging his first and only clear-cut professional defeat, a seventh round TKO suffered at the hands of the 'Tijuana Tornado' over 11 years ago.

    "If Margarito can show that he's evolved after his loss to Pacquiao, I would like a rematch against him," confirms Martinez. "It would be a great fight and we could promote it well and for a good purse."
    What if neither of these proposed bouts pans out?

    "I will continue shooting for a fight with Manny Pacquiao," states Maravilla. "I heard that he would fight me at 150lbs, which I think is crazy for me, but it's worth it since I can't even get a chance to regain my WBC middleweight championship. I would take all of the necessary precautions so that making 150lbs doesn't negatively affect me. I'd look for the best doctors and specialists to make weight safely and to be in condition to fight Pacquiao."

    Sergio Martinez is the reason that great match-makers like Yamil Chade existed in the boxing world in the past.

    What good match-maker would even think of putting Martinez and Pac-Cotto-Margarito in the same ring. Thats ****ing nuts.
    Sergio needs to go for big guys like himself.

    didnt bute mention that he would come down (a little) for martinez? not sure where i saw that. he destroys cotto and marg and the pac fight won't happen.

    The LHW champion of the world??

    It would be a better idea to fight a guy who is in the division below you who has a bigger name.

    Dont make excuses. I like Cotto too but he is blatanly ducking Martinez. Even in their last interview he used to money excuse. Margarito said he dont care he will fight whoever Bob signs.

    i dont hear him calling out hopkins either,fight cotto at 150 than also i bet cotto would take that in a heartbeat

    Hopefully Cotto/Margarito and Arum step up to the plate and take a Martinez fight. I don't care to see Sergio kill himself to make 150 and get beat up by Pacquiao.

    Winky did it and he was a career light middleweight.

    Martinez is only on his second weight division but he wants to trash talk Cotto who is on his 3rd division, and chase PBF and Pac who jumped up a lot in weight.

    Why is it such a big deal to jump up to 168 for sergio. Winky did it, Tito did it and Tito started at 147.
