Bob Fitzsimmons was the first person to be Middleweight and Heavyweight champions and Roy never held the WBO title at 175 and did duck the linear champ but the linear champ also ducked him so it was a mutual duck.

Exactly. I cant understand how it can be like that in boxing. Its even more disgusting that people discuss their potential inclusion in The Hall of Fame. They should get in the Hall of Shame if anything.

    Football/Soccer has the same problem.

    Good point about Toney too.

Mike Tyson was given hell every time he meet a prepared, unafraid fighter.

Problem is he lost to all of those next level fighters. He could beat the Vargas'(who was never the same after Trinidad), Mayorga's(same as Vargas), Quartey's(questionable), Hernandez's(above his best weight and at a weight where Oscar was unfairly huge) ect of the world but always came up short vs the great greattt fighters.

Roy jones is one of the best fighters in the last 25 years, only the 2nd man to win the middleweight and heavyweight titles ever. maybe he didn't fight the best to win the heavyweight title but a heavy weight title none the less. This man is a legend and an absolute shame that he has carried on for to long. If Sergio Martinez or Kelly pavlik had achieved what Roy jones did you would never hear the last of it.

ROY JONES IS A LEGEND AND ATG GIVE THIS MAN SOME CREDIT

Of course .. I am not knocking him for facing top competition, not at all ... but he lost a few big fights and therefore is overrated. Not in terms of skill or anything, just based off w's vs L's in the big fights. I can easily have put Shane in here but since he beat him 2x (though the second fight could have went either way) I chose ODLH

And Miguel should be considered underrrated if anything. He beat Shane, Judah, Maginalli, Foreman ... Only lost was to a possible cheater in Margarito, while still putting up a great fight and a loss to Pacquiao at a catchweight after being brutalized by cement against Marg, a war with Clottey and a trainer who's only advice in the cornr of their fight was "Come on, you can do it!"... Not knocking Manny's win over Cotto but when you look at from this standpoint he didn't beat the best Cotto (but no excuses he handled his business).

Ripped Fuel contains androstenedione, a steriod. It is not sure however that he tested postive due to Ripped Fuel, but he admitted to taking it, and is on the list of banned substances.

"Jones admitted he had been taking an over-the-counter product called Ripped Fuel. ThatÂ’s not illegal but it is an anabolic steroid according to the IBF and other other sanctioning bodies."

You are right, I forgot tha A- and B-samples are taken at the same time.

Apparently some sites says Ripped Fuel is ephedrine, but both steriods and ephedrines are banned substances in sports anyway. I do however trust the IBF, whom with doctor supervision, calls it a steriod.

And said Ripped Fuel is illegal(Not to buy or use it) but to use it when participating in IBF supervised fight, which makes it cheating. And Jones admitted to said cheating.

No one mentions if both the a and b samples were positive, just that a test was taken yes(which should mean there is both an a-sample and a b-sample) That is correct, At least the a-sample had been analyzed. The b-sample may not have have been analyzed, since Jones himself admitted to have taken a banned substance (Ripped fuel)

How much more evidence do one need, than the guy admitting that he cheated?[/quote]

You know a cup of coffee can get you disqualified in the Olympics right? People have taken subistance that they did not know had banned substances in it and have had positive test results. This whole story about RJJ is being blown out of proportion especially if you think to yourself that this was an over the counter product and not a controlled substance. A big red herring who just want to hate on RJJ . . . who I never, ever liked but did respect and can admit how great he was
