Wlad is not a top 20 HW, he has never beaten anyone of significance

I agree with many things you say. I would like to be more consistant with my opinions but I'm constantly learning and have no problems listening to others who know their business.

I love how McNab made the transition from supposed non fiction to pure fiction even after the controvesy of B2Z.

:good i'm always broadening my interest in the hw's because it's history fascinates me. In a way it helps appreciate the current scene better because i'm witnessing history be made.

Yeah he's a really good writer. I also am a fan of chris ryan's stories even his somewhat contradictory account of b2z.

Some of andy's early books nearly got banned and his face is still anonymous today. a true hero.

Congratulations on being TOTALLY clueless about Africa and her people. The majority of those pictured above are the descendants of the Arabs, Turks, Romans, Greeks, Persians and other Eurasian peoples who currently inhabit and occupy parts of North Africa. Well, guess what, Genius? Arabs, Turks, Greeks, Romans, Persians and other Eurasians are NOT indigenous African people. The Ancient Egyptians, OTOH, ARE.

    1 + 1 = 2

Try getting a clue before opening your mouth about things for which you have absolutely NO clue...

Weren't the Ancient Egyptians the decendants of the Sumerians and their surrounding groups. Who in turn came down from the Caucus mountains. Hence the term Caucasians?

Also I have heard mentioned that many of the later Egyptian Pharaoh's were actually members of the tribes that later becames the Israelites. I seem to remember hearing they slowly infiltrated the monarcy and other powerful positions over centuries.

    Another terrible sentence structure.

Who, in your opinion, was the first great hw and who did they beat to justify that tag?

No. The Ancient Egyptians were a collection of various groups who came from the Upper Nile Valley and the Sahara.

Again, No. The Ancient Israelites *may* trace part of their ancestry to the Hyksos who invaded Lower Egypt and setup a Kingdom as "Egyptians" in that part of Egypt. The Hyksos, however, were foreigners who were later driven out by indigenous Egyptian Kings from Upper Egypt.

What does this have to do with the price of tea in China or the topic of discussion @ hand?

Face the facts, the Klits have *never* beaten a great HW. No amount of spin on your part changes this simple reality....

But we all know down in "Classic" you have no respect for Rocky Maricano and certainly don't find him to be "An All Time Great"

Are you sure you just aren't racist?

Lets dispell this awful myth about modern North African Egyptians being "invaders" unrelated to their ancient ancestors.

The biological affinities of the ancient Egyptians were tested against their neighbors and selected prehistoric groups as well as against samples representing the major geographic population clusters of the world. Two dozen craniofacial measurements were taken on each individual used. The raw measurements were converted into C scores and used to produce Euclidean distance dendrograms. The measurements were principally of adaptively trivial traits that display patterns of regional similarities based solely on genetic relationships. The Predynastic of Upper Egypt and the Late Dynastic of Lower Egypt are more closely related to each other than to any other population. As a whole, they show ties with the European Neolithic, North Africa, modern Europe, and, more remotely, India, but not at all with sub-Saharan Africa, eastern Asia, Oceania, or the New World. Adjacent people in the Nile valley show similarities in trivial traits in an unbroken series from the delta in the north southward through Nubia and all the way to Somalia at the equator. At the same time, the gradient in skin color and body proportions suggests long-term adaptive response to selective forces appropriate to the latitude where they occur. An assessment of “race” is as useless as it is impossible. Neither clines nor clusters alone suffice to deal with the biological nature of a widely distributed population. Both must be used. We conclude that the Egyptians have been in place since back in the Pleistocene and have been largely unaffected by either invasions or migrations. As others have noted, Egyptians are Egyptians, and they were so in the past
