Better pressure fighter then Floyd Mayweather in boxing today?

Floyd was pressuring Ortiz very well by the 4th round and (in impressive fashion) effectively created it against Mosley in his last showing (Im so good at countering ill counter your pressure with my pressure lol).

Pressure imo stems from the opponent's caution that their punches are having no effect, while the opponent himself is getting tagged solidly. While it doesn't mean you have to eat shots repeatedly, it often times takes a good chin, or in Floyd's case a good defense. Effective pressure also uses good foot work and decent power. Floyd isn't defined as a pressure fighter, but that doesn't mean he can't pressure his opponent.

 

Some fighters are good at "using their head" to pressure their opponent :deal

 

I think Mayweather is one of the top pressure fighters today but I dont want to say the best. He is more like a smart pressure fighter but theres other boxers that put massive presssure on boxers

 

Is smart pressure fighter the same as intelligent pressure fighter?

How about calculated pressure fighter. Would you stake your reputation that as smart pressure fighter appear in boxing lexicon?

I can't say FMJ is the best pressure fighter. One can't hide behind the guise of "intelligent pressuring" as Floyd is technically one of the best at that (as is Ward, Bhop, etc). I think there are many aspects of pressure
1. Consistency
2. Average round per KO
3. Intimidation (that is a pressure)
4. Ring IQ
5. Agressiveness...as in ALL OUT

That list may be incomplete but to just talk about FMJ in regard to ring IQ is..silly. Floyd is, in a sense, a great pressure fighter, but the best; I can't say that. I rarely say Pac Man as I am not a big fan of his, but I would say he is overall the best, one of the best pressure fighters. Bhop definitely is up there as is Ward; though they aren't the prettiest of pressure fighters. Kessler is a good pressure fighter as is Johnson. The Road Warrior, win lose or draw..brings the fight.

Some of the previous conversation would beg to have floyd's "systematic breakdown" similar to talks of the Klit brothers.....neither of which i would put in overall rankings.
