dela hoya, rd 2,3. hoya was able to 1) over-power floyd and 2) forced him to fight backwards out of synch. although in spurts, hoyas explosive left leads and combos were more than enough to over power floyd. it sent him behind the ropes and forced him to fight an uncoordinated defensive game. His backpedalling here (on pure defensive acts, rather than as part of an entire beautifully coordinated gameplan,) revealed most of his curious vulnerabilities: hes leaving himself wide too open on the body, his shoulder rolling was visibly absent, and his guards (the right guard especially) not on its place because it is busy looking for counters to fend off attacks. You cant see Floyd this too hittable when hes at the middle of the ring and controlling the pace of the game.

its something that pac could capitalize early on the game. another thing thats goes pacs way on this was pac being an explosive starter while floyd a late starter, always waiting for his defenses to establish a very controlled environment, which is precisely floyds bread and butter game. so much of the defensive genius praises and sh1ts, everything boils down to that fact. When floyd cant control the game and forced to fight a purely defensive game out of synch, hes very vulnerable to lead fisted attacks and explosive combos. which is now pacs domain: pac is a kind of fighter that imposes dominance through chaos, all out kamikazee attacks and devil may care exchanges.

round 3,4,5, demarcus corley fight, early rounds on zab Judah fight. while floyd can fight (obviously), he wasnt as good as when hes operating on his backfoot, when spying for openings and potshotting his way to decision. the very obvious flaws in floyds offense we can see here were his vulnerabilities into getting hit flush by leads and getting countered by hooks. too open. wide too open. hes no sweet pea when it comes to defenses on an infight. yep, he can make you miss silly even on toe to toe actions, he can outland you and his accuracy was still high, as hes proven it against corley and time and again, but he lets his opponents connect too many of their POWER shots. he cant afford to let pac connect even a shot because pac is a one punch KO artist and a four-six fisted attacker when given the space.

which brings us to another point

Second half of JMM II fight. anybody who thinks pac cant lunch lead attacks from angles and cant throw counters against an excellent counter puncher needs to review the second jmm fight. here pac showed he can connect with his own counters with perfect timing, a tremendous skills overlooked by many because pac didnt have the luxury to prove it against numerous opponents. he only had jmm on it. it perfectly complements pacs tremendous capacity to force an exchange because he can stand there at the middle, bang it out, take some so he can give many, and more especially, he can make you miss widly on your swings and he can counter you from those misses. pac was a technical fighter-revelation on jmm II.

corley, as slow as he was on his feet and hands, has proven he can counter and even outland :deal (round 4) floyd mayweather on power punches department. but that was floyd on his lead foot. can packy force floyd to a fight? name me any fighter who can force an exchange better than pac does. :good

The only test not being taken is Floyd taking the testicular fortitude one.

Style wise there is NO REASON why Floyd can not dominate and win this fight. Not one.

Every tool Floyd has is attuned to winning this fight except for his balls.

He HAS to have everything his own way and then wonders why the world doesn't kiss his ass.

I would have respected the HELL out of Floyd if when larry asked him about the sucker punch end to the fight, instead of throwing the bull**** "Protect yourself at all times" he said something like "Larry, I'm a fighter, he headbut me and I don't stand for that ****, your damn right I pulled the trigger quick on the break".

If you think it's a legitmate reason to just zombie-like repeat the saaaaame bull**** for the last two years after Floyd invented his own steroid testing program - Then you deserve to see Floyd fight once a year vs the kind of opposition we've put up with since he left 135.

Just don't go telling anyone the next Sugar Ray Robinson is amongst us.
