He knows damn well Bradly won't fight Madiana, so he'll use that as an excuse to duck Madiana 2

 

Khan doesnt need to fight maidana if he doesnt want to, he won.
Maidana isnt in his plans anyway so why keep talking to/about him.
I get maidana chasing him but he should let go as well and focus on getting titles at 140, khan might happen in the future.
Also I dont think all the trashtalk is actually done by Maidana but more by people from his team, dude doesnt speak English and doesnt seem like a clowning type, he is serious as hell.

 

Khan can't stop talking about Maidana, there must be plans to fight him again next year. Maybe at 147.

 

maidana was the one who canceled the bout when he was suposed to fight Bradley. bradley was game maidana wasnt.

 

I also want to see a rematch, but probably at 147lbs. I do think Khan takes it but this time even by a wider UD and he will be even stronger at WW. Those last three rounds, as dramatic as they were from the first encounter tend to distort the balance of the entire fight. Khan was fairly comfortable up until that 10th round, after 9 I had it 7-2 to Khan.....

thats not the reason he pulled out. he cited back issues as the reason as the reason why he didnt want to fight Bradley. Either way bradley was down.

WBA interim super lightweight champion Marcos Maidana pulled out of his fight against undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley today. The public news conference scheduled for Tuesday at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif. is canceled. Gary Shaw, who co-promotes Bradley with Thompson Boxing Promotions, received a call from Eric Gomez, Vice President/Matchmaker of Golden Boy Promotions, Maidana’s co-promoter, moments ago informing him that Maidana was pulling out of the fight. “Eric told me Maidana missed his flight to the U.S. and later in the same conversation told me Maidana’s back was still injured and that he would not be fighting Timmy on July 17,” said Shaw. “Obviously Maidana’s back was not getting any better and a call to us last week from Team Maidana would have been the professional thing to do. But HBO and Agua Caliente are standing behind Timmy and his July 17 date, and I expect to announce Timmy’s new opponent soon.”

 

Nah. It's just Khan and his child-like mentality of responding to every criticism another fighter directs towards him. If Maidana says Khan is not to keen on another fight with him, Khan will respond with a thousand tweets over the next few days about how he beat him the first time, he doesn't need to bother with him, Maidana should do this, that and the other, etc.

Not to mention, the fans can fuel him, too. The amount of jibes that come his way are endless. And as mentioned, he can't help but feel like he has to respond to them. He doesn't realize that if he continues to feed the trolls/haters, he's just drawing unnecessary attention towards himself. Like cesare-borgia above has said, you've already won and don't need to bother with Maidana again, so just leave it at that. Resist the urge to speak **** on him.

Mind you, Maidana's no better. Much like Prescott and McCloskey, he's been acting like a jealous ex girlfriend that can't let things go.

 

Yeah, and the things that followed this claim, revealed that Maidana in fact did not have a back injury. He had a massive fall-out with his manager who, apparantly, made the Bradley deal without even consulting him. So Maidana was like "Look, let me get my house in order first, then we'll secure the Bradley fight properly." (paraphrasing)
