Eggplant is a cold-sensitive vegetable that requires a long warm season for best yields. Harvesting

Many eggplant varieties have small prickly thorns on the stem and calyx, so exercise caution or wear gloves when harvesting. Leave the large (usually green) calyx attached to the fruit.

When the fruits become dull or brown, they are too mature for culinary use and should be cut off and discarded. Overmature fruits are spongy and seedy and may be bitter. Even properly harvested fruits do not store well and should be eaten soon after they are harvested. Large, vigorous plants can yield as many as four to six fruits at the peak of the season.

Worst posters? We both have been watching Boxing longer than you have been alive. The ChinCheckers said Ortiz was a Glass Jawed quitter after the Maidana fight and people made excuses said it wasn't his Chin or Heart etc. Well the guy gets blasted out again by feather fisted Mayweather and yet again we have nothing but excuses for Ortiz on here calling it a "sucker punch" or that he wasn't looking etc.

Ortiz has a Glass Jaw. Anyone that knows anything about Boxing can see this. He also has ZERO heart. None. He is a disgrace to the sport. Period. You can make all the excuses you want but the evidence is there that his Chin is pure China.
