Wlad is not a top 20 HW, he has never beaten anyone of significance

    WTF?!?

I've never seen Tyson rated high on ATG HW lists like Marciano. Is Tyson an ATG HW? Sure. In the top 5? No. Same for Marciano.

And as far as Lewis is concerned, his resume looks a lot better than Marciano's does.

I see now that you are obviously clueless.

It's NO mistake that the Great Pyramid is one of the 7 wonders of the world. Your attempt to belittle that achievement only shows how ignorant you are on the subject. The Great Pyramid is considered an engineering marvel - even by today's standards.

IIRC, recently the Japanese tried to replicate the Great Pyramid. They tried and failed.

    Try opening a book...

Look at Egyptian mathematical papyri. You won't see anything more complicated than some basic Pythagorean triples. Lots of societies at a low level of development build similar structures.

Yes, and NONE of them are on the scale of the Great Pyramid.

    Incorrect.

The Great Pyramid of Cholula has a larger volume than the Great Pyramid, and the Pyramid of the Sun is the third-largest in the world.

Re the Japanese attempt to construct a pyramid: they were using Egyptologists' best guesses of copper-age techniques. They were pretty obviously going to fail. (Also, they didn't have thousands of laborers and 20+ years to build it).

Archaeologists had the same problem when they tried to "rebuild" Stonehenge, but I'm guessing that you wouldn't consider that as proof that Neolithic British people were amazingly advanced.

I'm sorry, should I care what a racist thinks? You've proven you can't be fair when accessing fighters of differen't ethnic identities. So now why should anyone even listen to what you think about Wlad or Vitali now? I'm afraid no matter what you do, your opinion on boxing or even Ancient Egypt will never be took serious on these boards, your nothing but a race baiter.

So your speaking in a more coservative tone and trying to chose your words more carefully now that your illogical standards have been exposed? If you feel Marciano is great but overrated, you should perhaps use better language in the future. You can say "great" all you want, its a shallow label after obsessively bashing the man in every classic thread like you have. You are only saying "great" now because your contradictions are now in the open, its ultimately meaningless if you are going to continue to crudely insult him while sparing others.

Funny how you hate a successful white fighter so much you would throw Archie Moore under the bus. An old Light Heavyweight? A bum? Such a disrespect to what he achieved going into the Rocky fight. :-(

BTW, Nay Sayer this is checkmate.

And I really don't feel like explaining myself to the loser anymore.

  9. the only people who believe rocky maricano was anything more than a overrated italian goof ball are racist white people. wlad is a joke but he is far superior to him. not only is wlad actually a heavyweight he fought heavyweight. crappy ones but still heavyweights.

there should be a forum for racist idiot whites and then a forum for the rest of us

You make as much sense as a big hole in the bottom of an aircraft carrier.

I have no problem with any fighter based on his race. It just so happens that I'm a fan of fighters like Carl Froch, Gene Tunney, and James Braddock.

And yes, Archie Moore was an ole' Lt HW when Marciano fought him. However, I *never* called the Ole Mongoose a "bum" - cetainly he was NOT. Still doesn't change the fact that Marciano's record is littered with so many BUMs that you'd think his promoter recruited his opponenents down @ the local mission.

Like I said, the only thing that stands out on Marciano's record is his "0". Beating up on ole' men, washed up former middleweights, ole Lt HWs, has beens and never weres does not impress me...

If you have evidence to show that the Ancient Egyptians weren't an African people then I'd love to see it.

Until then, you're just running off @ the mouth and have less than no clue.

I'd prefer to avoid the racial stuff on this thread (aside from pointing out that Nefertiti was Ukrainian, which is clearly true).

I might as well ask about Marciano, though: who else should he have fought? Which contenders?

I'm fully aware that Marciano was the victim of a sad HW division - probably due to the realty of the World War that just ended. We can only judge the man on his body of work and the skillset he demonstrated in the ring. As such, based on these two factors, a very high rating on the ATG HW list is *not* warranted, IMO.

Fact is, Marciano was one dimensional and feasted on BUMs, STIFFs, Tomato Cans, Ole Men and No HOPERs.

I'm also a Tunney fan, as it happens. Out of curiosity -- and completely unrelated to the ancient Egyptians -- who do you see him beating from the modern period (the heavyweight champions after Joe Louis)?
