I cant see how he stops Pacs output....Margarito is physically stronger than FLoyd and walked into a terrible beating, yes FLoyd has an immaculate defence but I dont think it would be effective against a southpaw with Pacs type offence

The HBO commentary said it right:

MAnny Stewart: I have never seen a fighter with Pacmans footwork (this allows pac to sethimself to throw punches from unpredictable angles)

Jim Lampley : Ive been in the sport 25 years and seen Ray Leanord, and this is the best offensive fighter Ive ever seen.

Does anyone think Floyd would hand Margarito a beating like that, I just dont think FLoyd could fend of a brute like MArgarito without beaing involved in a Castillio type fight again.

Pac would have it a lot tougher against Floyd. But I agree work rate is a big part of why Pac could win.

Your watching the wrong fight. Margarito stands there to get hit.

When Pac's opponents uses footwork, Pac doesnt throw that much punches.

Because Margarito is the 154lb version of PBF?

C'mon man, let's get real here.
To find the best template among Pac's opponents that emulates PBF the best, you would have to go back to Sasakul, but then Pc was still too green then to even make a reasonable evaluation of how the fight would go now.
Not to mention Sasakul is still not FMJ.

Mate, Roberto Garcia was a household name and a well respected figure in Boxing when Antonio Margarito beat him. ...Oh wait, I was thinking of Robert Garcia.

Lampley also said that Vitali's reign isn't all that different from Marciano's and that Cotto and Haye both had Ray Leonard type moves. Regardless, what PowerPuncher said.
