:deal:deal:dealPBF predator father has it right

Round by round I had scored for PBF by 1 or 2 rounds at first, and i have watched it a few times since and it could have gone either way within 1-2 rounds . . . clearly not a robbery!

Besides, PBF did the right thing and fought the guy again and CLEARLY won to erase all doubt. All this talk of robbery is BS . . . it was a close fight that went to money.

Floyd clear as day won 5 of the first 6 rounds, so anyone claiming Castillo won has to make an argument that Castillo swept 7-12.

I don't have my card on me at the moment, but to my memory, I had it 114-112 for Mayweather. That fight was no robbery, period.

don't forget who the champion was going into this. Floyd didnt do enough to take castillo's title but he made up for it in the rematch.

You don't get extra points or rounds for being the champion.

no one said to give the champ extra points or rounds. the challenger didn't land as much as the champ and was not the aggressor. he didn't do enough to take castillos belt that night but we all know boxing is politics.

Total punches landed is not the ultimate factor when scoring a bout, bouts are scored round by round...people can post compubox figures all they like, but it is virtually irrelevant.

Very close bout either way, but like I said, I don't believe in this 'you need to take the belt from the champion' myth.

    ^This.

And thanks...because truthfully...that never really occurred to me, although it should have been plain as day.

With your line of reasoning, Floyd would not have given Joes an immediate rematch. If he was truly protecting his Zero.

As much as I hate Floyd today, even giving Castillo the 9th and 10th, I still have Floyd winning by a rd.

Catillo lost that fight moreso than Floyd winning it IMO.

    My score card
    rnd: Floyd-Castillo
    1: 10-9
    2: 10-9
    3: 10-9
    4: 10-9
5: 10-9(close round, it becomes obvious that Floyd's shoulder was hurting, but he landed most of the (legal) punches while Castillo cut the ring off well)
    6: 9-10
    7: 9-10
    8: 9-9
9: 10-10(I watched it twice and don't know who to give it to. Floyd showed good defense and landed cleaner, but Castillo showed aggression and cut the ring off good)
    10: 8-10
    11: 10-9
12: 10-9 (Interesting round, Castillo landed more shots, but yet again, half of them are below the belt. I would have given it to him based off ring genralship, but Floyd stole the round in the last minute)
    115-112 Mayweather
