It wasn't skill that had me it thinking it was bad match up for marquez against Floyd, more of the size and reach differences. I think it's a huge disadvantage for pac that he is shorter and and less of a reach than Floyd.
For as much as people want to believe Pacquiao's made improvements with his right hand, you're turning a blind eye to the fact that Pacquiao's money punch is still his straight left. A left thats been proven can be countered strongly by stepping back and letting go of a right hand over the top of it. There is every reason to believe Mayweather handles Pacquiao's strenghths and does it maybe even easier than Marquez, as Mayweather's money punch is stepping out and away and unleaching right hands. Not only does Mayweather unleach that right hand quicker and faster than Marquez, something you should notice is that while Mayweather is landing that right, in an instant his body is already lateralling to the side as to not stay right in front of his foe. For the life of me, I just cant envision this very fact just being an outright nightmare for Pacquiao. ......then you add to that, that if Pacquiao gets into or think he's got into position to throw and land on Mayweather.....defensively, Mayweather is the best body contortionist since Pernell Whitaker himself ruled the division. Mayweather is a nightmare for Pacquiao of that I'm convinced. Offensively he has all the tools to make Pac pay for mistakes, and unlike Marquez who twice beat Pacquiao, has the defense to make Pacquiao look like a complete rank amatuer.
And to add to the above, Pacquiao has **** for a jab. You ain't beating Floyd without one. Right hooks and lead left hands ain't gonna cut it.
Pac wont come over weight like Floyd did to Marquez. Which, it's pretty much a sucker punch cause had Marquez had known he would be coming over 144, I dont think he would have accepted the fight. Floyd either came in real heavy that he could no longer dehydrate and make weight, or it was his plan to disregard the catchweight and intentionally pay for the fine and come in without trying to make weight and out size and muscle marquez. Either way it's a suckerpunch to Marquez
That was how he got caught most the times. Mayweather has the longer reach to flick his accurate jab, and set up his straight right hand when Manny lunges in. Marquez showed flashes of how Floyd counter-punch in around rounds -12 against Manny, he didn't threw much, but he did properly set up his straight right hand better because he didn't tried to exchanged punches with Manny as much as he did in the earlier rounds. It's true that Floyd doesn't throw as much as JMM, but he doesn't get hit as easily as JMM does as well. Floyd is a better ring general than JMM and he knows how to fight at long range better even with his limited punches output.
:happy Too bad! Actually Mayweather Sr, Nazim, Barinstain and the rest of the other trainers who fought PAC since his fight last fight since Morales also thought they had the blueprint to BEAT pacquio! They also claim it was an easy fight. People also thought Margarito, Cotto, ODLH.....will beat Pacquio right?! After the thoughts fights 101 reasons why their boxer lost...Ah! Marquez beat Pacquio twice?! atsch Sometimes people are confused with opinion and fact and that's a FACT. I'm outa here!
Great Post. Floyd's jab is more accurate than both JMM and Cotto jabs, and he'll use it as a bait to disrupt Manny's rhythm lunges/leaping in and out, all while he'll set up his straight right hands down the pipe to counters Manny. Another advantage that Floyd has over both of those two(JMM and Cotto) is that his reach is longer and can use it as an advantage.
None of them are as skilled as Floyd is. None of them had the proper fundamental techniques to fully executed the blueprint of beating Manny. Margarito had height and reach advantages, but he was too sloppy and never had the basic fundamental techniques in the first place. Cotto started out okay, then he suddenly tried to out-brawled Manny when he had good enough techniques to Boxed him smartly.
And yet, Floyd is scared to risk his perfect record to face a guy he syas he whoops EASY, a YELLOW MIDGET as he called him, while having all the tools to beat him. Very odd...
Wow!! And how exactly is JMM still alive? Facing Pac w/o Floyd's test is seriously risking his life!!!
Come on! Are you really trying to compare a mexican balls with a chicken duck? Chickens and ducks have the smallest balls ever.
