actually even being top 40 or something is really sick considering how many atg boxers there have been in the last 125 years and how difficult it is for modern boxers to get high up those lists.
Top 20 is very difficult to make.

He could be argued inside. He's in my top 30.

top 50 for sure... where he ranks in there, not so sure yet until he retires... that's the only way to really determine it.

    Yes

His position can/will go up/down with each fight until final retirement.

I think whether or not he cracks the top 25 depends on whether or not he beats Mayweather. He's certainly in the ball park.

Even if he fights on past prime and pick up losses?

My answer to that is yes, because if it's no than (a) the winner of the fight gets no credit, and (b) there's no downside for Pac lossing a fight.

That said, it doesn't carry the same weight as a loss in a fighters prime, but a loss has to mean something otherwise what's the point of the fight?

But he doesnt get credit now for beating Oscar who is considered shot or mosley?
And what about duran and ali, their late losses didnt affect their ranking.
Im not giving berbick credit for beating a zombie version of ali for example.

not yet but close. Fans of fighters push a guy up in rating so fast now, and they don't really think what the other top 25 did to get there.

Is there a distinction if you are the smaller man in that catchweight fights or it is just the same to you?

For example - to you consider Mayweather vs. JMM the same as Pac vs. Cotto because they both are catchweights? Is catchweights the same regardless who the bigger guy in the ring actually is?

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock! Waiting for an answer?

I'd prefer to wait til Manny hangs his gloves up before I try and gauge exactly where he fits in history. He is sure climbing over a lot of great fighters from the past as he improves his record though.
