He's now one of the best since the WWII but when he does finally retire he will be regarded as All Time Great. Most gifted boxer Ive ever seen.

Probably not a top 25 ATG, but he'll rightfully be very high on the H2H scale.

The difference between Robinson and Jones is that Robinson fought everybody, and all the top fighters around during his prime, Jones can not make that claim. I believe he knew he had chin issues and he played it smart, picking his opponents and relying on his natural athletic ability to keep his chin out of harms way. Unfortunately, the aging process caught up with him, and he found it more difficult to avoid the head shots.

You certainly sound very mature for 42 years. I am only 41 and remember thinking "why is this guy fighting bums?" Maybe when I age another year, I will be proclaiming RJJ the GOAT.

Yeah. He got old at 35. Thats not unusual for any fighter. He should have retired after Tarver 1 or Ruiz, but everything that happened since then has been pretty much another career for him, another lifetime. But in his best years, he was a special fighter and one of the best to ever lace up.

He beat a prime Hopkins where as leonard beat a fading one.

He beat toney who it an ATG and was number one pound for pound at the time. And he went up in weight to beat him.

So you really trying to tell me Hopkins was in his prime back then.

The Toney win was good, but Toney is a overrated steroid cheat himself, but I digress...........I can't knock your opinion though

Have you seen some of the people he lost to?

You could argue that he would have been KO'd if he stepped up his opposition at this point of his career.

In my book Roy Jones could lose another 10 times by KO and it won;t affect him being a top 15 ATG

I hope you are not trying to elevate RJJ by knocking SRR. It's just a bad strategy.

No. One of the most overrated boxers of all time.
    Spent his prime fighting taxi-drivers.

Robinson didn't fight anyone, that's a complete myth, he didn't fight the best of his time in Burley, Holman Williams, Cocoa Kid, Marshall....I could go on. Jones fought plenty of punchers and elite level operators, he fought something like 25 world champions FFS

No it's not because the criticisms thrown out at Jones can be thrown out at most fighters in history, Robinson included

No i'm trying to use it as an argument as to how losses post Tarver 1 won't affect his ATG ranking.

By showing that the number 1 of all time has a terrible record later in his career
