whats the consensus on him on these boards? i find him very biased towards old school fighters i got this boxing boxset collection off a friend for christmas and he lists his top ten heavyweights.charles was at five despite being more of a lhw and there are no 90's heavies no lewis (which completely unjustifiable seeing as tunney and charles got in) also not even holyfield, not even tyson or liston (which are arguable but i'd have them over charles at hw) his greatest boxers list is also very biased i amn't sure how he is regarded by non-media boxing fans
He knows what he is talking about but he is bias a lot of the time :thumbsup Him having lewis as 19th best heavyweight of all time :bart he should be higher imo. edit: i don't even think he put him top 20.
All you need to know is, that he's a ****** that likes to wave about unlit cigars that he never smokes
I never understood the deal about the cigar. I mean if he is trying to look ol skool with the hat and the clothes, he should be smoking that fat cuban instead of sucking on it all the time. And he is not relevent as far as evaluating present day fighters go.
spot on. the guys a fake. never did like him. his top ten heavy's in history tells you all you need to know about him. just ignore him, it's for the best.
I have nothing but respect for Bert Sugar even though I don't always agree with him. He knows his stuff you can say he's biased to old school fighters if you want but maybe.........a lot here are biased to newer fighters. Personally, I think his view on the heavyweights are about as accurate as you can get. I got the top 10 heavyweight DVD and it was hard to argue with any of his rankings.
Doesn't know **** about boxing and having SRL 25th Pea Whitaker 48th and RJJ 88th on his top 100 ATG list proves it.:deal
