It's not a HUGE secret. Most boxing insiders have known about it for a couple of days. I ran into David Diaz at the gym the other day and he said it was pretty much a done deal.
We can't jinx this **** by talking like it's a done deal.....after all... Sergio ain't no Ortiz. Making the fight with Martinez won't go down as easy as the Ortiz fight. Let's hope that Martinez is VERY flexible and doesn't ask for too much....Floyd will walk if he doesn't get what he wants.
I have to admit....it's definitley a "ONE UP" on Manny for sure. Let's hope the fight gets done and Barker doesn't pull a "Douglas" this weekend.
Sergio won't be a hard fight to make surely? I doubt he wants to spend his last few years having to do appearances at sports stores to help shift tickets for fights against nobodies like Barker.
So Floyd is going to move up to 154, probably get the **** beat outta him, just to not fight Pac? That's ****in ridiculous. He has a better chance against Pac.
it's not going to happen at 147.. sergio can't and won't make that weight. I think he said he's willing to fight as low as 150....but that was for a PAC fight. He may want a higher weight for Floyd since Floyd is a bigger fighter. I'd still watch it if it was a WW fight. Sergio vs Floyd is a big deal folks.
Not happening. Too much risk and nothing to win for Floyd. Beating Martinez, if he does, would be an awesome accomplishment. But that is not what Floyd is about
