    Maybe I was just being a blind fanboy but I really thought victor was going to start turning up the heat in the 5th round... Its just too bad floyd is bush league and he had to end the fight on sucker punches! :hat

    Victor always acts like that... even after maidana kicked his ass he was smiling! Its more of a nervous smile. Maidana fought him like a man, he didnt have to win by basically cheating!!

    Maidana won by making vic "tap via punches" mayweather won by sucker punches. One is a real man and one is a PUNK!

    It's just annoying how you've dealt with the whole thing, Slugger. I understand that it's heartbreaking to see your favourite fighter take a beating, but there's no need to be in denial long after the fact. Ortiz was losing, and he had no Plan B. Honestly, why else do you think he headbutted Floyd? This is something you can't even seem to address. I've not once heard you refer to the headbutt incident. It almost certainly happened, S. Ortiz has no defense.

    Addie when was the last time a championship fight ended like that? Dont we hold elite fighters to a higher standard? Floyd is one of the best in the game and I dont expect him to act like a club fighter and end a fight like that. I would of been ok with it if Joe DQ'd victor on the spot but he didnt.

    If floyd would of broke victor down and got a late TKO or if he would of won by UD I wouldnt be upset... I would give floyd all the credit in the world. However floyd showed his true colors, He's a cheating *****. He did the same thing to gatti, Its bush league bro! The ending just wasnt right and Im letting everyone know.

    I hold floyd to a higher standard than victor. What victor did was bad, what mayweather did was disgusting. I will not pay a dime to see that ****er again and I watch all the ppv's. I ordered jones-hopkins even though I knew it was a **** fight. I chip in for every boxing and MMA PPV but floyd crossed the line and I will boycott all his future PPV's unless he fights martinez or the P4P King! :fire

    The more you try to explain things, the more you dig a deeper hole with your theories. Yes, Victor landed some good shots and was pushing Floyd around at moments, but honestly, when has that never happened before? It's a fight. Both fighters are supposed to have such moments. Things is, Ortiz did not have a whole lot else to do even if the fight had gone 50 rounds. You know Ortiz better than me and you should know of all people that his power and stamina drop dramatically during the second half of fights. He could not drop Berto after the sixth, I highly doubt he could've damaged Floyd. But that's neither here or there. It could've happened. It's boxing.
    Biggest thing you keep bringing up though, is that Floyd has done the sucker punching before in other fights. I agree. So wouldn't you think it's yet another flaw from Ortiz to expect the classiest of fights from Floyd knowing full well he'll do that to you if you let your guard down.. ?
