Sergio Martinez---- "I hope Margarito wins because he would be willing to fight me"

The only reason Marg deserves multiple beatings is because of Cotto.

I don’t know why anyone would ever be interested in seeing Margarito fight again. He's a talentless chump, always has been, always will be.

 

If Margarito wins against Cotto I'd be very interested in this for two reasons: Martinez could get his revenge and second we could watch Margacheato get his brains splattered all over the canvas.

That being said I'd be more interested in seeing Cotto win and face Martinez since that promises to be a reasonably competitive fight.

All in all this would be a good way to kick off next year for Sergio in a situation where he would fight twice more that year against actual contenders like Pirog, Sturm-Macklin winner, or maybe Geale.

 

I can't knock Sergio for looking at Cotto, Marg, PAC or Floyd. They bring $$$ to the table and he's no spring chicken anymore. He's looking for BIG money fights as he's proven he's on that level. He just doesn't have the following or name recognition to entice a big showdown.

Sure...he's bigger and could fight other MW or Super MW's.... but Sergio started late in the game...he didn't have the typical AM background...starting in the game young which leaves him short on time in securing a big money fight.

Fight fans.....let's hope Sergio gets a good fight lined up...who cares if it's Cotto, PAC, Floyd or Marg. All would be good fights.

 

Good fight for Sergio. Good payday and high visibility.

Not to mention the revenge factor. I'd watch it.

 

Lets see...Cotto was putting marg through a grinder before the tables turned...Mosley put him THROUGH the grinder, Pac damn near left him blind and he still has to go through Cotto again....What revenge is Martinez really seeking other than just grabing the last string hanging. He will kill himself making weight for pac or may...why not just perform at yoiur best...i mean, cmon as much exposure as martinez has NOT gotten he is far from broke!

 

Margo is gonna beat down Cotto again, would love see Sergio lay a beating on Margo after it.

 

and this is why boxing is where it is right now...like martinez/butte or even Martinez/abraham are not more interesting. :verysad

 

I have no doubts Tony is going to jump right on Miguel and he may actually stop him even earlier than in his previous bout... The thing is why would Martinez want a rematch? Does he think that he has developed a one-punch kayo that can get him rid off an annoying one-dimensional fighter in Tony??? I don't think Martinez would win a rematch to tell you the truth.

Wouldn't even want to watch this. At his best, Tony struggled with guys that could box. Martinez has heightened his game too much since their first fight. This one would look like Bowe/Golota II.
