Honestly I dont believe Mayweather is intimidated by Pacquiao , Hes just scared of the risk of losing , he knows if he fights Manny ,theres a big risk he might lose .

I wouldn't even bother debating this point anymore. It has been patently obvious to every neutral and everyone with a brain for a long, long time now that Mayweather most definitely fears a fight with Pacquiao. The evidence is concrete, despite what his irrational army of adoring fans say about it.

It is possible that Floyd has been psychologically affected by his last fight against Ortiz.

Honestly, if the previous fight against Ortiz is any indication, it's possible that Floyd will take the beating of a lifetime from Pac.

Pac is smaller than Ortiz, so it's likely that Floyd's right hands will affect Pac more than they appeared to affect Ortiz, but Pac also has arguably better defense on top of several other assets that will be more favorable relative to Ortiz.

He also has different weaknesses as well, but Floyd may not be able to exploit them like I anticipated he would.

After the Ortiz fight, there is a much higher probability that Pac will "elephant man" Mayweather.

What do you mean by this? I thought Floyd was beating Ortiz pretty clearly by the time the fight ended. :huh

This is my perception of the fight.

Floyd abandoned the body attack he successfully started in Round 1. He was throwing power shots, increasing his workrate, working in combinations, and missing many of his shots.

Additionaly, he was getting more tenative which contributed to him throwing his shots short which gave Victor an opportunity to start timing him, which he managed to do successfully in the fourth round for instance, where Floyd threw another step foward, foot off the ground, right hand lead to Ortiz body, and then predictably rolled under and to his right, where Ortiz managed to nail him with a hard left hand.

I think part of the reason he was throwing short is because Victor would take a punch to throw a punch, and Mayweather is not accustomed to being hit, nor does he find it to be an intelligent part of his strategy.

This is why I believe he began to throw short because unlike Marquez who he could hit safely, Ortiz stance, style, and size, compromised his safety zone.

Ortiz was also tagging Mayweather hard and often, many times in combination, with body shots that eclipsed Mayweather's guard.

In many cases, Ortiz shots would land first. For instance, when Mayweather (now predictably considering how many times we've seen him do it), waited for Ortiz to move in when Mayweather was in the corner so he could deliver a left hook, was HIT FIRST by Ortiz short right hook, and then followed upon by a left hook while Mayweather was in the process of throwing his own left hook.

So you got an older fighter, weakening from the body shots by his significantly larger adversary combined with his high workrate which included several power shots.

Ortiz also started making adjustments so that when Mayweather would land his right hand, which he did often, it would hit Ortiz on the top of his head or on his forehead.

I believe Ortiz could feel Mayweather's punches begin to weaknen, and he was primed to take advantage of the smaller man in the later rounds before the KO.

I honestly, don't see how people had Mayweather ahead based on the volume of body work Ortiz delivered and his overall conservative strategy in the fight.

I think it's easy to anticipate Mayweather would be the one getting stronger and not Ortiz, but that's also because history has shown that this is always the case; however, history has also shown that Mayweather doesn't get hit like this.

To me, the judges scored the fight as if it was an amateur fight, completely neglecting to score the body attack Ortiz was putting in.

You may have seen it differently, but I could literaly HEAR Mayweather making a highpitched noise when Ortiz landed those shots.

Mayweather isn't used to getting hit. I honestly believe that some of those shots took him by surprise.

If Mayweather thinks Ortiz body attack is excellent...wait until he feels Pacmans.

If Mayweather doesn't have his legs, and he shows the same fundamental mistakes (IE lifting his right foot about 7 inches or more off the ground when he was throwing right hands) and decides to "walk" him down...

He may very well end up looking like the elephant man, despite the early right hands he puts on that makes the crowd go wild, but neglects the body attack that would likely be initiated early by Pacman...

AND will pay dividends if Pac doesn't get knocked out early by an accumulation of right hands.

The Mayweather I saw against Ortiz was not the same guy I saw against Mosley, but perhaps that Mayweather was merely an illusion that was made to look good against a faded Mosley.
