    I'm partial to Rockhold vs Jacare, myself.

    Edgar vs Maynard for the record, but Rockhold and Jacare was a very good fight.

    I haven't watched it since I saw it live, but I feel that it might not be as good if I watch it again. That was a great fight to watch in the moment.

    Honestly, I thought Jacare v Rockhold was pretty average. Jacare pretty much shut down in the 3rd and 4th.

    I meant to say safemode compared to the first round, but taking the last 4 rounds by themselves, without considering how Edgar got there were not FOY material from my pov.

    That's why it's "FIGHT of the year", and not "Final four rounds, totally disregarding one of the most important and exciting first rounds in history, of the year"

    I take Jones-Rua.

    But only because I think that was the most consequential fight of the year. I think that in 20 years, they will look back and say that Jones' total destruction of Rua to begin his championship reign with massive authority was the most significant fight of the year.

    Fight of the year in terms of what fight had the best back and forth action? That's just a case of what type of fighting you like best really. :smoke
