Could someone explain for us middle-agers what this "G" business is all about, and why it has become such a commonly used expression all of a sudden?

Should be an interesting night of boxing:

    Proksa vs Sylvester
    Cunningham vs Hernandez
and of course Martinez vs Barker

    Not bad. :bbb

Sylvester is actually quite succesful for a European level boxer. He's been on ARD/ZDF (the German boxing channel) since 2006 or even longer; that's when I first saw him. He's not world class, but a good stepping stone for a prospect who is expected to be world class. It should tell us a lot about Proksa, not an easy fight for him but he should win.

You're right. :yep Although, from a historical perspective he'll probably be remembered as only a "titlist" (ie someone who was able to secure a belt but never recognized as a real champion...vacant belt, two victorious defenses against blase competition plus a gift draw against a fading Karmazin...not much of a reign...)
