He did quit. Even if that wasn't the specific reason it was stopped, he personally did indeed verbally submit.

I'm not blind, I saw the same thing as you and agree that Appleby didn't want to continue. My criticism of your post is the line quoted below This gives me the impression that you believe Walsh has more heart than Appleby. As people like Curtis Woodhouse pointed out, there is a difference in fighting on when the stamina is still there and stopping when you just know you have nothing left. If you meant no disrespect to Paul Appleby maybe you should have read back your post before submitting it.
