He is talking rubbish and wants to be famous again. Good promotion now he seems to be concentrating again on promoting.

Or he could just tell the actual truth and say the only reason I've stopped is that it will ruin my image if I don't pretend to do something about it like it's a problem. Sad ****in world we live in that we care about what some now celebritiy name does in his own time.

To be honest if I was depressed and suicidal I don't think I would ring up 5 live and ask them to interview me so I could share it with the world. Hatton is fame mad. He announced his retirement over 6 times.

To be fair I've heard rumours (people seeing him in bogs etc.) that he'd been a coke fiend for years.

Doesn't mean he didn't get depressed and suicidal though does it?

And he's not exactly gonna come out in the press with 'yeah, I love the cocaine, just one of the lads, always have a few lines on a night out'

Ricky's an attention seeker and you can bet your mortgage on it.

2nd half of the fight was poor from hatton.

agreed with the criticism after that fight.

not too many others where he didn't come forward all the way though. :yep

duran wasted his money and had to fight.

hatton hasn't and chose to retire.

least we didn't have to sit thru the dregs of hatton's career like we did with duran.

    You fanboy bag of ****

Duran's dregs as you call them are pure caviar in comparison to your lover boys WBU title fights along with Collazo/Castillo/Lazcano:lol:

In a football comparison Hatton got over promoted into the premier league & got relegated in record time:lol:

The only thing that hatton was world class at was playing the pied piper all the way to the rats bank accounts.:yep

I used to think the sun shone out of Ricky Hatton's arse. Now every time I read or hear him speak I cringe as he is full of shite. I don't believe for one minute that he only took charlie once and the fact he thinks he can con us all into believeing it was insults my intelligence. I don't believe he ever contemplated suicide seriously either and the fact he brings it up looks like a desperate appeal for sympathy.

The wordS depression and suicide seems to roll off Ricky's tongue a little bit too easily for me.

He doesn't seem to have the fear and respect for depression that I would expect from someone who has has a serious clinical mental illness.

I am sure he was down in the dumps and and his life was out of control but I think he is throwing the word depression around too freely. If he had it really bad I think he would have a bit more wisdom and maturity when he is talking about what he went through.

That's my gut feeling but nobody really ever knows what is going on inside somebodies head.

What goes up, must come down. He would be in a very dark and guilt ridden place when sobering up after going on those wild benders.
